How to watch Gan Jing World on your TV?
Watch on TV with the Gan Jing World app for Roku TV or Google TV (or via Chromecast), by connecting your computer to the TV with an HDMI cable, or by using AirPlay from the app. Due to DRM protection, GJW+ movies and TV shows cannot be played over AirPlay or screen mirroring — use the Roku/Google TV app or an HDMI cable for those.
The most reliable way to watch on TV is the Gan Jing World app on Roku TV or Google TV: install the app, select Sign in, then scan the QR code or enter the nine-digit code at ganjingworld.com/connect to link your account. You can also connect a computer to your TV with an HDMI cable (the latest Chrome browser is recommended), or AirPlay regular videos from the mobile app. AirPlay and screen mirroring do not work for GJW+ movies and TV shows because of DRM protection.

Install the Gan Jing World app on your Roku
On your Roku device, download and install the Gan Jing World app. If you have a Google TV, you can install the Gan Jing World app there or cast via Chromecast instead.

Sign in on the web first
On a computer or mobile device, log in at https://www.ganjingworld.com with the account associated with your subscription.

Open Sign in on your TV
On your TV, open the Gan Jing World app on your Roku and select Sign in in the upper-left corner.

Link your account
Either scan the QR code with your mobile device, or go to ganjingworld.com/connect on a computer or mobile device and enter the nine-digit number displayed on the Roku. If you have not signed in to your Gan Jing World account yet, you can do it in this step too. After a few seconds, sign-in completes and you can enjoy free and premium content on your Roku.
The nine-digit verification code is only valid for 3 minutes. If it is rejected as invalid, it has likely expired — start again to get a new code.
Other ways to watch on TV#
- Google TV and Roku TV: watch Gan Jing World directly with the dedicated app, or cast via Chromecast.
- HDMI cable: connect your computer or device to the TV with an HDMI cable. For the best playback experience, use the latest version of the Chrome browser when streaming from a computer.
- AirPlay: cast regular videos from the Gan Jing World app or a web browser (see below).
Chromecast#
- Chromecast with Google TV (newer devices): install the Android TV version of the Gan Jing World app directly — from the home screen, go to "Apps" or use "Search", search for Gan Jing World, and install. The website menu (three horizontal lines, top left) also offers a "Download Android TV APK" button.
- Older Chromecast devices: cast from the mobile app — open the Gan Jing World app on your Android device, choose the video, and tap the Cast icon to select your Chromecast.

Using AirPlay#
- Confirm your TV and your mobile device are on the same Wi-Fi network, and that AirPlay is turned on on your TV.
- Open the Gan Jing World app (or Gan Jing World in a web browser) and play the video you want to watch.
- Tap the video so the AirPlay button appears in the upper-right corner of the video, then tap it to cast the video to your TV.
AirPlay is not supported for GJW+ movies and TV shows due to DRM protection. Also, AirPlay can display only embedded subtitles — if a video has no embedded subtitles, none will appear on the TV.
Screen mirroring from an iPhone or iPad#
- Make sure your iPhone/iPad and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- On your iPhone (iPhone X or later), swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center.
- Tap Screen Mirroring and select your TV or Apple TV from the list.
- Return to Safari and start playing the video — your screen, including the video, is mirrored to the TV.
For GJW+ movies and TV shows, use the Roku or Google TV app, or an HDMI cable — not screen mirroring.
Screen mirroring duplicates your whole device screen, so quality can be lower than native AirPlay. With movies it usually transmits only the audio and leaves the video blocked, because of Digital Content Protection Protocol (DCPP) restrictions.
LG smart TV: subscription not recognized#
If the Gan Jing World app on an LG smart TV does not recognize your subscription, unplug the TV from power for 60 seconds, then make sure the TV clock is set to "Set Automatically" in the TV's settings. An out-of-sync clock breaks the subscription check, so the app cannot verify your plan.
Amazon Fire TV#
Gan Jing World is available on Amazon Fire TV devices (Fire Stick or Fire Cube). Go to Find → Search, type Gan Jing World, select the app, and choose Get or Download, then open the app and sign in. If you can't find the app, check that your Fire TV software is up to date.
