How to use hashtags?
Add hashtags (#) in the title of your videos, Shorts, photos, or posts — press Enter or type a comma after each tag to confirm it. You can add up to 15 hashtags per title, and all content with the same hashtag is collected on that hashtag's aggregation page.
Hashtags group related content together. When you add a tag such as #KindnessIsCool to the title of your photos, Shorts, videos, or posts, that content appears on the hashtag's aggregation page, where you and other users can find everything published under the tag. A title can hold up to 15 hashtags, and each tag must be confirmed by pressing Enter or typing a comma before you start the next one.
- 1
Add a hashtag in the title
When creating or editing a video, Short, photo, or post, type # followed by your tag (for example #KindnessIsCool) in the title field.
- 2
Confirm each hashtag
After typing each hashtag, press Enter on your keyboard or type a comma before adding the next one. This is required for multiple hashtags to be generated correctly in your title.
- 3
Add more tags if needed
You can add up to 15 hashtags (#) in one title. Repeat the same confirm step for every tag.
- 4
Find your content on the hashtag page
After publishing, open the hashtag's aggregation page to see all photos, Shorts, videos, and posts published under that tag — for example, the platform's #KindnessIsCool campaign page collects everything tagged #KindnessIsCool.
Why use hashtags#
Hashtags group related content on a single aggregation page. For example, if you upload photos from different events under different hashtags, each hashtag page collects all the uploads for that event — a simple way to categorize and store your content.
The platform's #KindnessIsCool campaign works the same way: adding #KindnessIsCool (or its Chinese equivalent) to the title of photos, Shorts, videos, or posts makes them all findable on the campaign's hashtag page.
Owner hashtags#
Creators can apply to own and manage a hashtag. Where to find the details:

Remember: press Enter or type a comma after each hashtag before starting the next one — this is what turns the text into separate tags in your title.
