How to buy or rent movies?
Open the movie's page and click the Buy or Rent button in the lower-left corner to pay by credit or debit card. Buying stores the movie in your digital locker with unlimited views for at least 5 years; renting requires you to start watching within 45 days and finish within 7 days after the first playback.
To buy or rent a movie, open its page on Gan Jing World, click the purchase button in the lower-left corner (for example "Buy $9.99"), enter your card details and billing address, and click Pay. A purchased movie is stored in your digital locker with unlimited views for at least 5 years; a rental must be started within 45 days and finished within 7 days of first playback. Afterwards, find the movie under your avatar → Purchases & Subscriptions → Purchases, signed in with the same account you used to pay. All movies are digital — no DVDs are shipped.

Open the movie page
Go to the page of the movie you want to watch on Gan Jing World.

Choose Buy or Rent
Click the Buy or Rent button in the lower-left corner of the movie page (for example "Buy $9.99"). If you buy the movie, you can watch it anytime with unlimited views throughout the digital locker period (at least 5 years from purchase); if you rent it, you must start watching within 45 days and finish within 7 days after the first playback.

Complete the payment
On the purchase page, enter your card information and billing address, then click Pay. Supported cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and China UnionPay.

Watch your movie
Sign in with the account you used to purchase or rent the movie, click your avatar in the upper-right corner, select Purchases & Subscriptions, open the Purchases tab, and click the movie to start watching.
Buy vs. Rent#
- Buy: watch the full movie anytime, with unlimited views during the digital locker period (at least 5 years from purchase).
- Rent: start watching within 45 days of the rental, and finish within 7 days after the first playback. Within the 7-day viewing period you can pause and resume anytime.
- Alternatively, many movies are included with a Premium subscription, which also gives access to a wide range of other premium content. If you are only interested in a single title, renting may be the more suitable choice — consider both the price and your viewing needs.
How long do you keep your purchases?#
Purchased content is stored in a digital locker tied to your account. The locker period is at least 5 years from the date of purchase, and you can watch the content an unlimited number of times during it. After the 5-year locker period, content may become unavailable.
- If rented content is removed or becomes unavailable during your rental period, you are entitled to a refund or a reasonable replacement.
- If purchased content is removed or becomes unavailable during the first 5 years, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund or a reasonable replacement.
- Pausing, stopping, or rewinding a video does not extend the viewing or locker period.
Finding purchased movies in the mobile app#
- Open the GJW app and tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Manage Subscriptions.
- Sign in again with the same email address or phone number you used when purchasing — otherwise the paid movie will not be visible.
- Open the Purchased page; your purchased movies appear in the details.

Payments are currently supported in the following countries and regions:
- Americas: United States, Canada.
- Asia-Pacific: Taiwan, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam.
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
All movie purchases and rentals are digital. Gan Jing World does not ship physical DVDs.
