The Chiefs just got GREAT news...

Sunday in Seattle, the Chiefs scored only three points
and the entire wide receiver room combined
for just six catches and 39 yards.
That's what the offense looked like without Rashee Rice.
And folks, we just got some great news
surrounding his return this Sunday
that has Chiefs fans pretty fired up.
We're gonna break down that brand new news,
multiple updates from today's practice,
but also some not so great news
surrounding Mansoor Delane
that has some huge implications going forward on Sunday
as quite frankly, folks, we're in.
For a wild, wild next couple of days ahead of the game.
We're gonna break down that big update, discuss everything.
But before we get into it,
very quick reminder to hit that subscribe button.
Your guy's support has been unbelievable.
In the first three games this season that Rice played,
the Chiefs scored 31, 33, and 24 points respectively.
Good for three wins.
Then, of course, in the first quarter in Las Vegas in week four,
he went down with a hamstring injury.
Hasn't played since.
And since then, the Chiefs have scored 30 points,
and only three last week.
Now let's look at Patrick Mahomes.
With Rice, 7 touchdown passes in 3 games. Since Rice got hurt,
he's had only 2 touchdown passes in 3 games and 0 in the last 2.
And it's not just touchdowns.
With Rice, Mahomes is significantly better.
Throws for about 271 yards a game and without him,
only about 221, which is 50 yards of difference.
Now obviously I'm not sitting here and saying
that Rashee Rice is going to fix everything and
with all the trade conversations that have
been had over the past few days a lot of the videos
they still need another wide receiver hopefully
someone better than Rice but it is clear the
impact that Rashee Rice has
and there are a lot of underlying factors as well like the offensive
line but getting him back is going to be absolutely massive
and we just got news from Andy Reid
revealing that he is returning.
Now, Xavier Worthy has had 35 targets,
and he still doesn't have a 100-yard game, had
11 yards against Seattle, and nobody else is really stepping up.
Taquan Thornton, who was stepping up,
is done for multiple months, and the day that
Rice got hurt, everything kind of changed for this team,
and without a guy who wins
on third down and makes tough catches over
the middle like Rasheed Rice does, this team
has been exposed, even though they're still 5-1.
And Mahomes spoke about it and said it himself,
Rice is such a physical receiver,
and having him back out there will be big for us
because it'll take some pressure off of the other
guys. So here's exactly where Rice stands.
He got hurt in week four, sat through the bye,
then missed the Chargers game, and then
the Seattle game, counting the bye, that's almost
a month. But he never really left.
He was at almost every practice while he was out doing
light work on the side, and then Wednesday he
was out there catching practices, or rather catching
passes at practice,
and then he was limited both yesterday and the day before.
Limited was an important word, he wasn't fully cleared,
but Andy Reid made it seem like they
were slowly easing him in, saying we're growing him as we go,
he's talented, and then today,
the big report dropped.
Folks, like I just mentioned, he is back. And you can see why
you would want him out there.
Before the injury, Rice had 13 catches for 190 yards. That's about
63 yards a game, which overall a full
season equates to over 1,000 yards.
And for his career in the regular season,
he's at nearly 2,000 receiving yards in just 31 games.
And one of the big frustrations
with Rice has been how much he's missed.
As a rookie in 2023,
he had 79 catches for 938 yards and 7 touchdowns in 16 games.
Then 4 games in 2024, 8 games last year,
he's been injured so often throughout his season.
It's clear when he plays, he produces,
but the whole question with Rice has always been how often he plays.
And a small milestone to watch on Sunday,
Rice is 13 yards away from passing Emil Harry
for 24th in Chiefs history in receiving yards,
so it's clear the impact he has, he changes
literally everyone else's job.
Travis Kelsey, some pressure taken off of him,
Xavier Worthy no longer has to be the
guy, so with Rice back, Worthy can finally go back
to being the deep threat instead of
the one who literally has to do everything on the wide receiving group.
Now, while that's great news, there is a part
that nobody wanted to hear, and that
is surrounding Monsur Delane.
This spring, they obviously used a sixth pick on a cornerback,
Monsur Delane, out of LSU.
And on Wednesday, he wasn't on the injury report.
But then Thursday, he showed up on it,
did not practice due to a shoulder injury.
And then today, for the second straight day,
he watched from the sideline with no helmets.
And this is not a new injury.
It's the same right shoulder that's
been bothering him since the spring and when,
in which he hurt it in OTAs and missed most of training camp.
And week one, his NFL debut against Denver.
He picked off Bo Nix and came up holding that shoulder in a game
where the Chiefs destroyed, obviously, the Broncos.
And when he's been out there, he's been good.
Five passes defended and that interception in five games.
He had seven solo tackles against Miami
and seven more against the Raiders.
And even in Seattle, in that ugly loss, he still broke up two passes.
Obviously, they used a very high pick on him,
and he looked very solid to start his young career.
Now, Andy Reid was asked directly about where things stand,
and he didn't give much away.
He basically said, we'll just see where he's at.
So they have not ruled him out
And Matt Derrick, who's at practice every day,
says he's presuming it's just precautionary.
But let's be realistic here.
It's two straight days with no helmet on a shoulder.
That's been a problem all year.
It's not nothing.
And if he can't go, Christian Fulton is likely the next man up.
And the depth behind him isn't super clean either
because LeJarius Sneed was also limited
yesterday as well.
So the two corners who replaced Delane
are both kind of on the injury report themselves.
So it's going to be interesting.
But the good news is you get your best receiver back.
The bad news, you might be out without one of your top cornerbacks
Now, we have some more updates just from today.
It was a very eventful day.
Travis Kelsey, who tweaked his ankle, he should be...
Good to go.
And obviously with Rice out, he's kind of been the guy
who has been the number one receiver
for the team.
But Reed's word for word was, quote,
tweaked and that he's ready and expected to play.
Now, better news up front.
Jalen Moore is a full participant both yesterday,
Thursday and today and Wednesday.
So all of a sudden now he's ready to go.
He's going to be ready.
Creed Humphrey, Nick Bolton and Mahomes were all full participants.
So let's not forget here.
This team is looking pretty healthy despite
the unfortunate news to Mansoor.
And don't forget about Omar Norman Lott.
I had a full video on him.
He's going to be returning at some point.
His 21-day window is open,
but that's not going to be, of course, for Sunday.
Now, let's talk about the kicker situation for a second.
This week, the Chiefs signed Justin Tucker to the practice squad,
a very controversial move,
and every camera then turned to Harrison Bucker
after he missed two field goals in Seattle.
And Andy Reid said Wednesday that Tucker
will probably be the kicker on Sunday,
and Dave Toob shut it down.
He's our kicker. He's our kicker.
He said that Butker went 10-for-10 at practice with Tucker,
We're standing right there watching.
So for now, this is Bucker's job to lose.
And Andy Reid confirmed it today
that Butker will be the kicker on Sunday.
Another storyline as well
is watching how Chris Jones performs
coming off of a pretty brutal game against Seattle.
A lot of people are talking about his age.
He spoke out and said,
I don't think my age right now is playing a factor.
We just got to take advantage of my opportunities.
So all of this brings us to Sunday
and this game matters a lot.
The Chiefs are 5-1 and lead the AFC West.
Denver is 5-2.
You have Buffalo at 5-1.
And let's look at what comes after Denver.
The Jets, the Falcons, the Cardinals.
Those are three or four very easy games.
But you have the Buffalo Bills, November 27th.
And the Broncos are kind of suffering under their own problems as well.
They're dealing with some injuries to Talanoa Hufanga and Zach Allen,
so we're going to have to see what happens there.
Pat Surtain is a full go, but it's obvious now,
folks, they're going to have to use everybody,
and this is a game you kind of have to win if you're the Chiefs.
Here's the thing about Sunday that I don't think people
are necessarily talking about enough.
The last time Rice saw Denver, he scored a touchdown.
And the last time Monsur Delean saw Denver,
he obviously got the first interception of his career in a big debut.
So there's clearly some confidence for the team heading into it.
And obviously, hopefully, Delane plays.
But this is now a very interesting game because both guys,
either returning or being out, have a history with this team.
And let alone all that, this is a massive
game to win for the standings.
The big question will be, can the Chiefs
survive a week with Fulton at corner?
Probably, but I think Rasheed Rice coming back matters the most here.
You were without a wide receiver for a while.
There...
Clearly entertaining trades for a wide receiver,
whether that be the super high echelon guys like Garrett Wilson
or maybe the lower end guys like Brian Thomas Jr. or Josh Downs.
So comment down below, what is your take?
Are you more concerned about Monsur Deleon missing time
or are you more excited about Rasheed Rice?
Which one do you think matters more if Delane is out?
I want to hear your pick.
It's a little bit of a controversial thing.
I think ultimately if Delane sits out,
You're fine.
You can kind of get by with Fulton
or whoever else they want to use.
You have Jarius Sneed as well.
But if they do, you know, with Rasheed Rice coming back,
I think that is by far the biggest storyline.
Comment down below what you guys think.
Thank you guys for watching.
See you later.
