Hello everyone. Welcome to Ann's Work Life.
It's been a long time since I've introduced you to Chaji.
From the time of the year when the night time becomes longer,
there is a Chaji that you can enjoy in the winter around February.
This is the Chaji of Yobanashi that I will introduce today.
The Chaji of Yobanashi starts at dusk,
and continues until midnight while chatting with customers.
During that time, without using electricity,
you can use candles and old-fashioned oil lamps
to create an elegant world.
And since it is a Chaji at night when it gets cold,
I will prepare firecrackers to soften the cold.
So let's take a look at it right away.
In the waiting area, the customer will prepare a house
and have a bowl of Kuzu-yu.
Add a little ginger and warm your body slightly.
Once you've taken a breath,
you will proceed to the outside-koshi-kake-machiai.
Teshoku is a candle stand with a picture to carry around like this.
Outside-koshi-kake-machiai has a hand-burner to withstand the cold.
The roji floating in the dim light
represents an elegant world.
The host re-heats the water of Tsukubai
and welcomes the guests.
Here, the host exchanges the newly prepared Teshoku with the guest.
I think this scene of exchanging Teshoku
is a scene unique to the Chaji of Yobanashi.
After this, Tsukubai is used in order from the guest
to purify the body and mind.
The water of Tsukubai is mixed,
both hands are purified,
and the mouth is sucked in with the hot water of the hand-burner
to purify the picture of the Teshoku.
Then, depending on the light of the candle,
one by one is placed in order.
Inside the Chashi-sutsu,
the light of the Tankei is slightly illuminated,
and the focus is placed on the Tokonoma axis and the Temaiza.
In order from the guest,
the Tokonoma and Temaiza are viewed,
and the host sits on the Teiza.
When the guests are seated,
the host opens the Fusuma and greets them.
Now, I will give you Usucha.
This cup of Usucha is called Zencha,
and this is also a mind-use unique to Yobanashi.
The guests who went out in the cold
are warmed by simple water and tools.
Therefore, we do not look at the tools.
Next is the beginning of the Shozumi-demai.
When the Shobaki begins,
the guests approach the furnace.
We look at the charcoal.
The warmth of the charcoal
that we feel by the roadside in the cold winter.
The beauty of the red charcoal that we see with our eyes.
And we feel the sound of the charcoal
that makes a crackling sound.
When we put in the Tenzume,
everyone returns to their seats
and waits for the incense to be lit.
The pure scent spreading in the Chashi-sutsu
is purified in an instant,
and the mind and body relax naturally.
When the Sumi-demai is over,
it is the Kaiseki-ryoi.
The Zen is given in order from the Shokyaku.
When the Zen of the Makkyaku is given,
a table is prepared to brighten the hand of the meal,
which is called the Zen-shoku.
What kind of food should I make for today's guests?
From the day of the Shazi guide,
we start thinking about the menu composition.
Basically, seasonal ingredients are essential.
Seasonal ingredients are seasonal,
so they are easy to get.
We will put our hands together
with the guests who invited the ingredients.
We will also pay attention to the seasoning
so that the taste of the tea we will receive after this will not be lost.
In addition, in order to enjoy the meal itself,
not only the adjustment of the light,
but also the bright color of the plate and bowl
will be a different way of thinking.
Now that the meal is over,
I will make a toast.
I will make a toast with the tea oil
and the baton touch that has served as the host until now.
I will make a toast with the tea oil and the baton touch that has served as the host until now.
I will proceed with the sake in order from the Shokyaku.
Until a while ago,
it was a time for guests to talk to each other slowly.
From now on, I, the host,
will also join my friends and give them sake.
In the tea ceremony,
I think that it is time for the host to exchange words
with the guests one by one slowly.
If you can't drink it,
let's enjoy a simple moment
so that you don't overdo it.
When the toasting is over,
I will serve the Yutsugi and the Kono.
The guests put the hot water in the rice bowl and the soup bowl
and use the Kono to clean the inside of the bowl.
At the end, I will clean the inside of the Zen
by using the Kaeshi and so on.
When the chopsticks are dropped,
knowing that the meal is over,
I will enter the Zen Osage.
Now, it's time for the Omogashi.
The Shokyaku puts the black character
in the bottom row and sends the upper row to the next row.
The sweets will be received by taking Kaeshi.
After eating the sweets,
I look at the Tokonoma and the Temaiza again
and leave the tea room and take a short break here.
During this time,
I prepare for the Goza in the tea room.
I took off the Kakemono and changed it to Hossu.
In the tea time of Yobanashi,
I use the Hossu and Yoi of Zenso
as a decoration.
Knowing that the seats are ready,
the guests use the Tsukubaya
and enter the tea room again.
At the seat of the Shoza,
I look at the Tokonoma and the decoration of the Temaiza
and arrive at the Teiza.
From here is the climax of the tea time.
Until a while ago,
I spent my meals and sweets in a peaceful time.
From here, it changes to silence.
The air is filled in the tea room.
What you can hear is
the sound of the pot boiling.
And in the faint red,
I make the best tea
for this day.
The tea has come out.
After the guests finish drinking the tea,
I will ask them about the tea and sweets they used today.
And after everyone has drunk a cup of tea,
the waste of tools will be disposed of
and they will clean up one by one and put it in the waste.
In the tea time,
there is a production and a meeting of tools
for the guests invited that day.
On top of that,
there is a tea table and sweets
to enjoy a cup of delicious Okoi tea.
The climax is over
and the tea time is finally coming to an end.
The tea time of the night story
to enjoy the night view at night.
The tense atmosphere changed
and the guests today are
from far away in America, New York,
and everyone in Chiba and Kanagawa.
The people you meet for the first time at this tea time
It's been a few hours
since we greeted each other at night.
At the table and table,
we narrowed the distance of our hearts
and reached the climax of the tea time.
You can't go back in time
just by moving towards the future.
It's a one-in-a-lifetime picture.
How was it, everyone?
The tea time is a home party
where Japanese art is packed tightly
and served with tea.
Even among them,
the tea time of the night story
is held with a sense of warmth.
I hope you can feel
this extraordinary world on this day.
