Armed robbery suspect caught on dashcam targeting driver

Welcome back. It is Silent Witness Saturday. Detective Mike Fisher joining us with details on a case they need help with. And this one not happening too long ago, Mike. Good morning, Ty. And thanks for the invite. This case here, this armed robbery occurred October 12th of this year, which was on a Monday around 8.30 p.m. And what happened was the victim, the female victim, had pulled over in the area of 28th Street and Bell, just north. And she was checking her phone. And all of a sudden, some A suspect, a male suspect that came from behind the vehicle, he pointed a gun at her. He was holding a gun in his left hand. Here we see the video. She's just sitting there minding her own business. She had her seatbelt on. And this guy is pointing a gun at her. And he's literally, he's going to snatch the necklace from her neck. We'll see that. And he snatches a necklace, and he's also demanding money at the same time. That's why she said it was a male suspect. And she handed him her purse, as you can see. And then afterwards, he takes off running. But, I mean, you can tell the terror that this poor victim is going through. She's shaking. And luckily, you know, and then also to the suspect, he had tattoos on his right hand. We can't make him out, but we know he had distinct tattoos on his right hand. And he was holding the gun in his left hand, so we know he's a lefty. And hopefully someone that knows about this case, maybe the suspect talked to a family member, a friend about what happened, they can call us up at 480-WITNESS and give us information. Thank you. And we're offering a $1,000 reward on this case also for anyone that provides information. It's unbelievable that you have this video, that she had one of those dash cams that was able to record her, because without this, who knows, we would have never been able to potentially find this guy, right? Yeah, her own vehicle took the video, and the detective that has the case, he's the one that, you know, said, hey, I would really like some help with this, and that's why we're here this morning asking for the public's help. And hopefully someone recognizes this guy. He had a big scarf around him. And at the same time, the victim, she never really looked to the left because all she remembers seeing was a big gun being pointed at her. And hopefully this guy, I'm sure it's not his first time that he's done this. And the way that the victim reacted here, that's exactly what we want. Don't take any action. Do exactly what you're told. We're seeing the video again. And... He was pretty bold. He was, you know, basically searching her with his right hand and at the same time holding the gun in his left hand. And at any time, if the gun is loaded, it could have easily gone off and... She's very lucky that nothing happened and we're glad that she's okay and we're just hoping someone that sees this video may remember something. All right and again if you know who this person is you can call Silent Witness 480 witness and again a thousand dollar reward up for grabs. Detective thank you. Thank you. All right.
