Spookiest part about tonight may be the weather rainstorms on the way,
meaning an early start to trick or treating all across the state.
And let's go live to Andrew Christensen
in the Encanto Palmcroft neighborhood still drying out from last night.
Happy Halloween, Andrew.
Well, happy Halloween to you, Brian, and to everybody out there.
I'm dressed as a news reporter for Halloween.
Okay, not exactly a costume,
but there are a lot of people in cool costumes out here.
It is a little bit rainy.
So one of the events last night did get rained out.
But today people are out here.
One neighbor I talked to tells me that there aren't as many people
this year and that they're coming out earlier to escape all this rain.
But I want to show you some pretty cool costumes.
There are some people out here trick or treating
a neighbor I talked to tells me they usually get thousands of
Families trick-or-treating here and last year she says
she bought 4,000 pieces of candy and actually ran out.
Another tells me usually when this neighborhood runs out of candy,
they'll head to the other homes around who will also run out of candy.
And last night the rain affected their event. But today the community
is still prepared to welcome a lot of trick-or-treaters.
Our neighborhood kids got rained out
for the Halloween crawl last night, so we all agreed
to come out a little bit earlier before
they got rained out again today.
Our witches here, they're gonna make sure
that we're gonna have a good time, and
they're gonna keep the rain away.
So come on out, enjoy Halloween, trick or treat.
Okay, this neighborhood is really cool.
I mean, we do have a fire breather that was over here.
We have a lot of cool costumes. So despite the rainy weather,
which is actually getting pretty spooky, people are still out here.
They're enjoying their time and happy Halloween.
