While Ukraine is raiding the warehouses of Russian giant Wildberries, another major marketplace, Ozon, has stopped shipping goods to occupied Crimea. A Russian woman complained about this online. "Just yesterday, Ozon was delivering its products to Crimea and Sevastopol. And now it turns out Sevastopol isn't Russian territory. How interesting, huh?" the woman said. She also shared a screenshot of a conversation with Ozon support. When asked why Ozon deliveries to Crimea were no longer possible, she received the following response: "Ozon does not deliver to Sevastopol. Delivery outside of Russia is only available to the following countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan." In effect, the marketplace suddenly stopped considering the occupied peninsula Russian territory. Interestingly, according to the state-owned newspaper Kommersant, Ozon has begun distributing some goods to pickup points. This primarily concerns high-value items, particularly electronics. The company is apparently preparing for attacks from Ukraine on its large warehouses. It's worth noting that this summer, Ukraine launched a major campaign to dislodge the Russian marketplace Wildberries. Thirteen of the company's largest warehouses have already been burned, with losses estimated at hundreds of billions of rubles. As for Ozon, only one of its warehouses in Zelenodolsk was hit on July 31. However, the drone missed it, exploding nearby. Media previously reported that Wildberries, the marketplace whose logistics facilities in Russia are being attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, plans to commission approximately 260,000 square meters of warehouse space in Kazakhstan in the near future, according to Kazakhstani Trade Minister Arman Shakkaliyev. According to Shakkaliev, the Kazakh Ministry of Trade has not received any requests from Wildberries for warehouse locations. Currently, the Russian marketplace already leases 46,000 square meters of space in the Central Asian country. In the first quarter of 2027, Wildberries will open approximately 260,000 square meters of warehouse space in Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated during the 3rd Russia-Kazakhstan Media Forum that Russia and Kazakhstan are working to integrate their marketplaces. He noted that "hundreds of thousands of Kazakhstani suppliers" are registered with OZON and Wildberries. Galuzin claims that the integration of Russian and Kazakh marketplaces was allegedly under consideration even before the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched strikes on Wildberries' logistics. Ukrainian Defense Forces have been conducting airstrikes against Wildberries logistics centers since July 18, as the company sells goods to the "SVO" and helps Russia's military-industrial complex obtain sanctioned goods. On the night of August 4 alone, Ukrainian drones attacked three Wildberries logistics centers simultaneously: in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Tver regions. In late July, Russian media reported that Wildberries was planning to relocate its logistics infrastructure to Kazakhstan. The marketplace hopes to protect itself from attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
