According to Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, the “Crimean Switch Off” campaign continued across Russian-occupied southern Ukraine, with 13 energy infrastructure facilities reportedly struck between August 4 and 5. Ukrainian officials said the attacks were carried out by drone units from the Unmanned Systems Forces, SBS. The command claimed that, since the operation began on July 1, a total of 201 energy infrastructure sites in Russian-occupied territories have been hit. Ukrainian officials said the campaign has contributed to power disruptions affecting Mariupol, Melitopol, Henichesk, Berdiansk, Zuhres, Prymorskyi Posad, and other occupied locations, including high-voltage substations operating at 750 kV, 330 kV, 150 kV, and 110 kV. The latest list of claimed targets includes the 750 kV Yuzhnodonbaska substation near Kremenivka in Donetsk region, the 330 kV Myrna substation in Mariupol, the 150 kV Botiyeve Wind Farm substation near Prymorskyi Posad, the 150 kV Melitopol substation, the 150 kV Azovselmash substation in Berdiansk, the 150 kV Yakymivka-Transit traction substation, the 150 kV Tymofiivka substation in Kherson region, the 110 kV Topolyne substation, the 110 kV City-11 and 110 kV NS-2 substations in Mariupol, a substation at the Zuiv Thermal Power Plant in Zuhres, an electrical substation in Kadiivka, Luhansk region, and the Natashyno gas distribution station in occupied Crimea. Video footage released in social media capture the strikes on the energy facilities.
