Ukrainian drones targeted a warehouse belonging to major Russian online retailer Wildberries in Russia's Tula Oblast overnight on Aug. 5, authorities reported.

A fire engulfed a Wildberries warehouse in the town of Aleksin in Russia's Tula Oblast after it was targeted by Ukrainian drones, according to Telegram channel Exilenova Plus.

Tula Oblast Governor Dmitry Milyaev confirmed that a Ukrainian drone struck a Wildberries facility in the region, along with other sites. According to ASTRA, videos published by eyewitnesses show that a Wildberries warehouse in Oleksyn was hit.

The company's press service confirmed a fire at the logistics facility. They stated that employees were promptly evacuated, and the acceptance of new deliveries was temporarily restricted. They were redirected to other centers.

The governor of the Tula region announced that a drone crashed into a Wildberries sorting center, causing a fire. According to him, one person was injured. There are no reports of casualties.

Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev also reported damage to two apartment buildings in the Venevsky district and two industrial facilities in Novomoskovsk and the Uzlovsky district. According to Exilenova+, the logistics center covers approximately 194,500 square meters and was scheduled to open in 2022. The center handled deliveries to Tula, Kaluga, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, Ryazan, and other regions of Central Russia, and also partially relieved the load on logistics centers in the Moscow region.

Published video footage shows a massive fire engulfing a significant portion of the complex. The exact extent of the damage is still unknown. On the night of August 4, following a drone attack, fires broke out in warehouse areas in the village of Krasny Bor in the Leningrad Region and the city of Chekhov in the Moscow Region, where Wildberries logistics centers are located.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi stated that over the course of 18 days, Ukrainian drones attacked 15 logistics facilities of the Russian marketplace Wildberries.
