My Dogs JUMPED On The Swimming Pool Cover Like a GIANT Waterbed!

Today started out in total chaos because someone did not latch the pool cover properly and Eleanor decided it was her personal giant water bed! She opened that gate right up and took off running on top of it. Once we actually got the pool open for real, it turned into an absolute splishy splashy summer pool day. Eleanor was jumping right in after her squishy ball, and Kira had to get the big hose treatment while floating around taking in the sun.

We spent the rest of the afternoon cooking up dinner on our Blackstone griddle, which the dogs always think smells amazing. Dan is staying with us and he got to experience the full host treatment from Kira, who basically turns into a cat whenever there are endless pets on the table. Later on we headed out for our late night walk around 9 PM because it stays bright out forever here in Michigan during the summer. We spotted our neighborhood bunny along the way, stopped by the river, and took in the view of the moon.

To top off an awesome day, we ended the night around the campfire roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Jamie made sure mine was perfectly burnt just the way I like it! We kept the dogs safe inside while the fire was popping, but they came back out to hang with us as soon as it cooled down. Hope you enjoyed coming along for our summer routine!
