It was one of those crazy busy days around here where everything happened at once. I got the dogs fed and jumped right into testing out a pet grooming vacuum for Amazon. Testing it inside the house was definitely an adventure because Siberian Husky undercoat went flying everywhere. Eleanor loved every single second of it though. Once I realized the indoor snowstorm I created, I took things out to the backyard to set up my professional high velocity blower and grooming table. Eleanor and Kira both had so much loose coat ready to blow out, you would not believe the clouds of floof drifting over the roof!
While I was outside getting coated in husky fur, Jamie was busy putting in work over at the cabin house. He is trying to get everything prepped for siding so we can take off on our week long RV camping trip without stressing. When you have multiple northern dogs, coat blowout season is serious business, so having a good grooming routine with eye rinses and brush outs keeps their skin and fur in tip top shape.
By the time Jamie got home early to relax before preseason hockey, we noticed Kira was acting a little strange and favoring one of her paws. She did not want to jump up like normal, and we think she and Eleanor might have collided while playing hard in the yard. Since we are heading out in the camper so soon, I made the call to skip our evening walk and schedule a vet visit with Dr. Ryan just to be completely safe. We capped off the night with favorite bully sticks from Everchew, cozy couch snuggles, and the bedtime double treat routine that sweet Memphis taught the girls years ago. Life is short, Make memories with your dogs!
