Part two of our amazing Michigan camping adventure with our Siberian Huskies Kira and Eleanor is here, and today we are hiking to the gorgeous Yellow Dog River Falls! We honestly could not remember the last time we visited this beautiful Upper Peninsula waterfall spot, and it turns out we actually hiked the trail backwards. We hit the main waterfall first and then explored three smaller waterfalls along the way. It was quite the workout climbing up and down the steep gorges and navigating some seriously slippery rocks and tree roots. Both girls were absolute champions on the trail! Kira immediately wanted to get belly deep in the rushing river water and kept trying to chase every leaf floating by, while Eleanor has been doing such a good job learning the "whoa" command to take one step at a time down the steep parts, just like Memphis used to do when she was younger.

After logging 13,000 steps in the heat, we drove down a super washboardy dirt road and stopped at a roadside stand to grab some dry firewood while distracting the dogs with their dinner. Back at the campsite, we realized both Kira and Eleanor got sticky pine sap all over their fur and paws, which definitely means a dog bath is in their future before the Novi Pet Expo! We wrapped up an incredible day of RV camping with our dogs by relaxing next to a crackling campfire, cooking sizzling hot pie iron campfire pizzas, and of course paying the mandatory cheese tax to our very tired and happy Huskies before the rain started sprinkling outside. Life is short, Make memories with your dogs!

🍕 Cooking delicious pie iron campfire pizzas and paying the cheese tax to two exhausted Siberian Huskies
