We are back with another day of our amazing Upper Peninsula camping adventure! Things started off a little scary when we found ourselves driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk along a very steep ravine. We were tipping to the side and it was definitely a breath holding moment! But making it through was so worth it because we discovered some of the most beautiful spots yet. We explored Quartzite Falls and found a huge band of pure quartz running right through the slate in the river. Kira had the best time trying to find chipmunks hiding in the rocks and splashing around in the flowing water.

After our big announcement we headed over to Black Slate Falls and even had to ford a river in the Jeep to get there! The dogs thought it was the coolest thing ever. While exploring the rocks around the waterfall Jamie found a wild apple tree dropping fresh apples right into the river. We washed them off and the huskies got to enjoy an unexpected sweet treat right next to the beautiful falls. We ended our amazing day back at the campground making fire roasted burgers and getting cozy in the RV.
