The huskies have the campground all to themselves! There was no one around at all while we were camping here at Muskallonge Lake State Park in April, in the cold of winter! Winter camping is so much fun! Okay, maybe it's early Spring, but in Northern Michigan, winter means there is still snow on the ground!

We survived!
Nobody's dead. We all survived. Where's Oakley? There she is. They all survived.
It wasn't really that cold. I mean it was cold. I think it got down to 39 last night.
So I'm not cold. Are you guys cold? I know you guys aren't cold.
So it wasn't too bad for cold camping.
Winter camping with all the snow. Winter camping in the spring. There is snow out there and it's gorgeous out there today.
We're going outside.
So apparently this is what a campground with nobody at it looks like.
And sounds like. You can hear the lake, the big lake from here. Big lakes over that way.
I don't know if you guys can hear that, but I just heard a woodpecker too.
There's Muskellounge Lake still frozen.
There's a couple woodpeckers I hear.
There's Muskellounge Lake.
Definitely still ice on it.
Gee, we've been awake for what? Well, I guess we've been awake for a while.
We've been outside of the camper for what? Ten minutes? Jamie's gonna fly the drone.
Time to get a good photo of the campsite.
Yep, aerial view because there's nobody here.
We just took the girls for a little W-A-L-K, right? Took you for a walk. You're drooling Oakley.
But yeah, there is absolutely nobody here.
So that's what we were looking at last night.
Looks a lot different during the day.
So that's just wicked looking.
You can see all the sand that was trapped in the ice as it washed up.
Made like it's on a little lake. Can't even see the big lake from standing way down here.
So cool.
Pure Michigan.
You guys always ask why we like Michigan so much. Look behind me.
Look at... I forgot my selfie stick. My vlogging stick too, so I can't get the camera far enough away from me.
But uh...
It's so cool. I wanna walk down here. We can see through. Let's go guys.
Right there. Look, you can see the big lake.
Those ice-canoes, ice volcanoes is what I always call them.
They're probably...
15 feet tall at least. Gosh, maybe even 20 feet tall.
So crazy.
Somebody's flying a drone out over the water. You guys are nuts.
Look how pretty you are. Look at... Oh look, I found a dog that likes to give hugs.
His owner's right over here.
They're walking down the beach. Look how pretty this girl is.
You're a pretty girl. Yeah, you are. You're a very pretty girl. I know.
Jee, can you guess what we're doing?
Picking rocks. Jamie, are you picking rocks?
Are you picking rocks over there?
You're picking rocks?
Looking for rocks. I found a cool one.
Sure, the one time I wanted to focus there it goes. Jamie found one.
I found one too, but mine's smaller than this. It's a Lake Superior agate.
Little tiny one. You can kind of see, I don't know how well the camera's picking this up, the little banding in the rocks.
But he found one.
We didn't make it up for it this year, but this is where they start the Taquamenon Country Sled Dog Race.
So we're making lunch and I just find it funny that I'm gonna use
backwoods mustard that we got out of a mitten crate and Jamie and Greg are both using the smoke sauce on their sandwiches.
Careful.
Reaction to the smoke sauce on your sandwich?
It's even good on sandwiches.
Greg hasn't tried his yet.
Lunchtime in camper. You guys have to wait like two more hours to get your lunch. Sorry, your lunch comes late.
So we officially found the coolest Jeep in the UP. Look at the tires on that you guys.
See that?
Totally made for anything. Snow, mud. It's a tank Jeep.
Looks like he's been playing too.
There's what it looks like from the front.
Pretty cool.
We found more snow!
Now we're debating on whether or not we want to drive on it because that's snow on this road for a long way.
We have to make a decision.
We decided to be smart and not go that way. Yeah, it's just gonna be plowing snow.
Yeah, you can kind of see where we were trying to back up.
I don't know if you can see it, but it was a little bit...
Yeah, no, we're not gonna go that way.
Let's go that way. It'll be amazing. Right into the trees there. We're gonna go back this way. Find someplace else to go.
Is that fun Memphis? Is that fun? Do you like that?
She's like, that's cool. I like that.
Look, the girls are helping get wood or help and hold it down. Maybe. Maybe that's it. Are you girls helping?
Are you helping Oakley? You're helping get some firewood?
Memphis is like, I like this. I have a higher vantage point now.
The girls are enjoying lunch.
Time for food on the windy fire.
I think, are we all having tuna melts? No. Oh, well, I'm having a tuna melt.
Screw the rest of them.
Look at that. It's practically perfect in every way. No tuna melt for you.
Not for you.
Look, we found Jim. He's all the way in the Upper Peninsula.
He's kind of empty though. I think those are for logs.
But he's empty.
Pretty cool. I don't know why he stopped, but looks like we got to wait for him.
Damn you, Jim.
Memphis is barking at the car behind us.
I don't... Apparently, there's never been a car that close behind us.
Get it. Get it Memphis. Get it. Get it Memphis.
I don't know why this sign cracks me up every time I read it.
Pickle man's total stop. Read the bottom. If we don't have it, you don't need it.
I guess so. They have giant restrooms.
I don't know what you can see through the trees, but there's real pretty sunset over there.
So Jamie and Greg both got their quadcopters out to fly them up to see if they can get the pictures.
The big lakes right over there. That's Lake Superior right over there. The campground is right over there somewhere.
In case you were wondering about the temperature today, it's 36F right now. It got up to 49F today.
So if this isn't winter camping, I don't know what is, because it's cold.
It's actually pretty cold and we've been gone for a little while.
So we have to go back to the campground and turn the furnace on in the camper.
Thankfully, we've got you guys to keep us nice and toasty. We're gonna keep us toasty, huh? Toasty? Yeah.
Fire! So it's actually colder out now than it was earlier today, but earlier today it got super windy.
Which made it cold. Right now, there's no wind again.
Oh look, I can see a planet in this camera.
If I hold the camera in the right spot, there's a tree in the way. Anyway, there's a planet up there.
The girls just ate their dinner and now we're gonna probably, maybe, possibly have pie.
I think we should. What do you think? Yes. We're gonna have pie.
We're making peach pies in the pie iron.
Well, our camper is messy today.
All right, so for those of you that are new, welcome to the channel. Welcome to the Pawdience.
What we're doing here is we're buttering bread. We're taking pie filling. I almost called it pie stuffing.
We're putting it on here and then we're gonna take both of these pieces of bread, put them together and put them in our
pie irons and cook it on the fire.
So it's dark, but this is what we're using. These big metal pie irons. You saw them earlier. Now we're just making pie.
She's totally gonna go for it. There's a fly on the wall.
She's totally gonna go for it.
You could have had it Memphis.
Oh, big stretch remotely. All right, you guys. Well, we hope you enjoyed watching our little camping adventure.
I've got three tired doggies.
Look at how sleepy they are.
So all the lights are off and you can't see, but everybody's playing games because you know, we don't have internet.
We're going to bed. Good night Pawdience!
