Another fun day of camping is in the books! Today we took the girls on a massive hiking adventure to see some gorgeous waterfalls in Marquette Michigan. We started out hiking Dead River Falls and you guys know I love a good view but some of those cliffs were a little too crazy for us with the dogs. We had to turn back on the steep trail to keep Eleanor and Kira safe but we still found some breathtaking spots. The girls even got to splash around in the water which they absolutely loved! Kira also found her absolute favorite thing in the woods today and spent forever staring down a wild red squirrel. It was basically her version of the best TV ever.
We also took a brave walk across a wobbly bridge that Eleanor was definitely not a fan of before exploring Rainy Falls and Wright Street Falls right off the main road. The trails seriously felt like a lush jungle. After all that hiking we headed back to the camper to enjoy our last night here. We watched a beautiful orange sunset ate some delicious homemade burgers with groceries from the Marquette Meijer and got to meet some amazing viewers on our nightly walk. We are heading home soon for John Matthew's birthday but this trip has been exactly what we needed!
