Huskies vs. Squirrel Highway: The Craziest Jump Ever!

What a beautiful, wonderful morning to have a party in the backyard! We went from 32 degrees to a gorgeous 60-degree day, which meant it was the perfect time for some spring yard cleanup. Jamie moved the snow machine out for storage, and we spent the afternoon clearing sticks from the recent ice storm. Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor were right there to help (or at least supervise) as we cleared out the burn pit and got the yard looking fresh for the summer!
While we were working, we witnessed some incredible local wildlife action! We watched a squirrel take the "Squirrel Highway" and make an absolutely crazy jump from the roof to the cedar trees. We also discovered a beautiful surprise hidden in our Christmas wreath—a House Finch has officially moved in and laid eggs! It looks like we won't be taking that wreath down anytime soon.
The girls had a blast enjoying the warm weather. Memphis got her favorite outdoor bed moved into the sun, Eleanor practiced her "two-paw digging" technique on a new trench, and Kira was busy breaking up sticks for the fire. It was the perfect day to make memories with our dogs and enjoy the sunshine before heading inside to watch some hockey.

🔥 Relaxing by the warm fire while the dogs play in the yard.
🏒 Ending the night with some hockey and sleepy Siberian Huskies.
