Did My Husky Get CLOSE To this Bison?

Look! It's not raining! There goes Jamie! He's going to load up the stuff. Good wonderful beautiful morning Pawdience! Do you see dad out there? He's going to load up the stuff. He's going to load up the stuff. We're going to start day two of our trip. What you think? So, today we should make it through... We're in Minnesota. We'll make it through Minnesota, North Dakota and we should end up just inside of Montana. Today! That's our tentative plan. That's where we have our hotel. We're... It's a nine hour drive today. Well, eight hours and 57 minutes, 47 minutes or whatever it is. So, almost nine hour drive today. The nice thing about today and the next couple days is none of them are as long as yesterday's drive. Nine hours is still a pretty good long hike but we're getting out of here pretty early which was the plan was to get up and get moving and get going. So, we're getting out of here at a decent time. I think we gained an hour again today but I don't remember. Do you remember? Did we enter mountain time zone today? I think so. Yeah, I know. You tell me all about it. I'm getting excited. Memphis did good last night for anybody wondering. You know, the last couple trips she had a few issues in the hotels but she did good. She slept. Didn't have any issues and now we are hitting the road and heading on to the next stop. I don't know where else we're going today but you guys are along for the ride. Room check done. You ready to do this? Memphis is like, I'm ready daddy. As long as you pick me up and put me in the car. What do you think Kira? Kira's like, I still want to eat the eggs that you had for breakfast. I don't think we've... We made it. I'm gonna make it all the way through this state. We're gonna have to insert a picture of that billboard here. Close to Jamestown, North Dakota and there was a billboard which you've now seen it. Apparently it was thankful that I read it. That was so weird. That was weird. Look, we found hills as well. We did find hills. Not as flat. Look at these girls. Memphis and a pillow. Kira was in the seat and Eleanor's way back there. They're riding so good. Hey, look a river. Passed through Bismarck, North Dakota and this is the Missouri River. Oh, there's a cool like boat down there that takes you around on the river. And look, the sun. Remember the sun? Maybe we won't get soaking wet letting dogs out tonight. Oh my goodness, we can only hope. Hi, how you doing? The sun come out shining on you? You girls are doing pretty good? Yeah, we're doing pretty good, ma. We're doing pretty good. Yes, you are. You're the best traveling puppers ever. Eleanor, you're in North Dakota. Is the grass smell different? Is it all different here? I think you've been here. Yeah, you've been here before. But you've never been here before. You've been here before. We stopped at a roadside park to potty the dogs. Look it, it's North Dakota. It's flat. What'd you say? Third flattest state in the country? Yep. It's pretty flat. Behind Florida and Illinois. It's pretty flat till we get to the other side. All right, come on. Whoa. I think he was on the... He was on the zip strips. All right, let's go. Get back in the car. It's still a little cold. It's only 46. It was 39 when we left the hotel and it's 46 now. So totally warming up. He's way over there. Let's zoom in on him. It's in New Salem, North Dakota. And you can see him from quite a ways away. Maybe we get closer. Maybe we get to see him a little bit better. He's still way over there. He's right in the shadow. Yeah, the sun's on the wrong side of him for you guys to see him real good. But there's a giant cow on top of a hill. Oh my gosh. There's a little buffalo. There's some buffaloes. There are two buffaloes. We might get to see some more. There's a scenic area up here too. Painted Canyon is over there. And then the Badlands. Theodore Roosevelt State Park is actually like... This is the edge of it right here. So yeah, we're coming into the edge of the Badlands. There's cool stuff over there. All right, we're gonna try to see if we can see some stuff. Well, the other scenic overview is closed. But that's a pretty scenic view right there. Yeah, there should be an overlook right here. Yeah. That's so cool. The sun popped out just for a minute. It sure did. I mean, not all of it. It's probably blinding if the sun is on. Right? Still cool though. You can see a little bit more even right here. Like I said, we're gonna turn at this exit and it says there's an overlook. So the park is a national park and the dogs are not allowed on any of the trails. But we don't plan on hiking any of the trails anyway. But they're allowed in like the parking areas and the picnic areas. So we're gonna go see if we can find this overlook. And see if we can get a little bit closer. Although we're pretty close right now. Look, we did it. We got closer. I think we got a little closer. Just a little bit. Maybe the sun will sneak out for us. I'm sure it will here and there. Oh, there's an overlook right here. Interesting. How fun. This is so cool. It's worth the hour delay to the hotel even though we're tired. Girls, you're in the Badlands. What do you think? They're like, we have to potty. The dogs are like, what's going on? Dad's got the dinner. You're gonna eat dinner in the Badlands? You think you are special? All right, I better help dad give the dogs their food. Hold on. They're super tangled. Let's not set it down just yet. Thank you. And check that out. Dinner in the Badlands. Oh, the sun's hitting it again. Nice. Whoa, we're like real close. Pretty sure we are in the pool that you can just, they have a road through here and you can just drive through and check everything out. Going to the next overlook. Oh, there's little prairie dogs everywhere. So, oh my gosh. I can see them. There they go. They got little prairie dogs. There's three of them right here. There's one right here. Oh my goodness. Memphis, you see them prairie doggos? There's one popping his little head out of the hole. Okay, that is way too cool. Listen. You can hear them? Yeah, they're chirping. They're talking to each other. That's too cool. There's so many prairie dogs. I mean, I guess we're in the prairie. They're just running. They're yelling at us. Off our land. Hi cuties. The dogs are so excited. They're like, whoa. There's prairie dogs. They're so cool. There's wild horses. Like actual. Nobody owns these horses. They're just wild horses. Oh, the dogs are gonna go crazy. There's a baby one on the other side of that car. Like look, the badlands. But look, wild horses. How cool. There's one taking off over there all by himself. He's like, see you later. I'm going. He just crossed the road. And here's the rest of them. And then there's the baby right there. These little legs. He has these all legs. And I have to say, I think next to cows, Memphis is the happiest dog on the planet now because she got to see prairie dogs and horses. What do you think of that, honey? What do you think, Kira? Them horses. I don't even know where Eleanor is. Looking out the backpack window. Hi, Elle. You looking way out there? You see them horses? She's like, this is the craziest thing ever. Craziness. So much craziness. Oh my god, look at him. He's all legs. Hi. Hello. Yeah, we gotta go, dude. You're beautiful. I was wondering how long it would take Memphis to yell. Like, I wanna play. She's like, can I play with the big dogs? That's a campground down there? So what did we learn from the internet? Don't play with the fluffy cows. So speaking of... Speaking of fluffy cows... There's fluffy cows down there. There's no fence between him and us, but we are quite a ways away. Hopefully I have the camera in the right spot because I can't see it at all because it's so... It's so ridiculously bright. Shut up. We might see more closer to the road. This is crazy. Oh, I see where the RV is. He's over there. Maybe he's going to the campground. All right, I gotta get a picture of the... Are they buffalo or bison? Did we figure it out? I don't know, it's on a nickel. It's a buffalo head nickel. I'd say it's a buffalo then. It's a buffalo. There's a buffalo. He's right on the side of the road. He is. Doing buffalo things. That's as far down the window as going. He probably sees a lot of cars. Probably. Too cool. So the road was closed to the overlook we were trying to get to. So we don't know if we're going to be able to get there or not. We got one more chance as we go around this road to possibly go there. I mean, can't complain about the view. That's for sure. Right? I know, we're like, wow, look how cool it is. It is pretty cool. Eleanor, what do you think of this? Jamie, she did it. She did it. She's up front. You don't like being up front. She's like, I'm kind of excited about it right now. You're actually doing it. Wow. She's like, no, I don't like it. I changed my mind. We made it to the end of that road and we still can't go. But there was more bison down here. So we stopped to check those out. Kira's like, oh my gosh, this is so crazy. All right, let's go. And at least these aren't super high edges. Okay, maybe it was worth it. Yeah, it was worth it. That's pretty cool. Looking back, that was cool. But the sun's kind of washing it out. There's Jamie. Hi, Jamie. It just goes for forever. Not really, because we drove through a lot of flat to get to this. But okay, back in the car. What do you think of that, Eleanor? That's a buffalo. What do you think of him? He's just... Don't worry, we're in the car. I mean, we're close, but we're in the car. And the car is running. Memphis is like, I'm gonna go play with the buffalo. Yeah, I bet you do too, huh? There's one over there too, guys. Yeah, I see him. All right, Mr. Buffalo, we will leave you to your munching. Holy cow, they're huge. I can't believe that people actually want to get out of their car and like take pictures. I don't even want to hike trails here because I know there's these giant animals here. What do you think of that? They're huge. That's the coolest thing ever. I've never seen one of those ever before in my life. There's another one heading up in the tree. Is there? Oh yeah, there he is. Too cool. What do you think Memphis? Better than cows? My favorite. He's like, yeah, they're just like cows. We're getting ready to leave the Badlands. We came back around and all the horses are now over there on top of the hill. So we took a couple more photos because you can really see... I didn't realize looking this way how much of this you could see. I think the horses distracted me. Too cool. Yeah, we're at the first place we stopped to see the horses. And now we're gonna take one more picture here. And then I think we're gonna get back on that highway right there. Yeah, you can see it down there. And head to the... Oh, you could walk out there and get your skyline photo. But you could also just park right here and get it. Welcome to Montana. We did it. We're only like 29 minutes from our hotel now. Almost saw those two cars get in an accident. Holy cow. We have arrived. So this is a Fairbridge Inn and Suites. This is a nice size room. Pretty clean. Nice. I made sure I had carpet. So Memphis could... I like that these beds are not as high as the beds we were on last night. Yeah, they were kind of high. I know what you said. Perfect spot for it right there. We already did the room check. The dogs are redoing it, but we already did it. You guys know when we come into hotels, first thing we gotta do is a room check. So anyway, TV, little baby TV, microwave, mini fridge. There's a mini fridge, coffee pot, two beds, a bathroom with a bathtub. And then the rest of your bathroom stuff is out here. A little closet area. Kira's like, dad, you left me in here. Kleenex, which apparently I need. But yeah, that's our room. Oh, I guess I could... We're trying to get this to connect so we can see if we can watch the hockey game. I guess I should show you the view. There's the view. Not much of a view. Now we're in a little tiny town called Glendive, Montana. And now what we're gonna do is try to find food where I don't have to drive downtown. There's a couple little places right by here. So I'm gonna look at that real quick. See if I can find us food. So I walked from the hotel we're staying at over there over to this diner to get us food. But look, there's random kitties. Hi, random kitties. They're super cute. You look like a baby. Orange kitty, another kitty. You're super cute. Yes, you are. But I'm going in here to get some food. I have the food. The cats didn't leave either. They're still over there. But I guess I'll leave them alone and I will not walk the dogs this way because I don't want them to mess with the kitties. So we're not at this hotel. We're at the one... Not this one. That one over there. I'm walking back. Oh yeah, there's a sunset. Oh my goodness. It's crazy. It was... I don't know how many people eat at like a Waffle House or diners. Right. But I can clearly... It just tastes like it. Yeah, it was a cute diner. Did I send you the picture of the inside? It looks like a diner from the outside. It's super cute. The cook there was so nice. He comes over and he goes, Hey, sweetheart, how you want your bacon? And I went, oh, I get a choice? He wasn't making food for... There was other people in there, but he wasn't making food for anyone else. So Jamie and I got a club sandwich to share because I'm not super hungry. Me neither. So we're gonna share it. And then Jamie saw they had fried pickles. So we had to get some of those. Nothing for you girls. Nothing. Okay, maybe a french fry eventually. Well, look at you. Did you have an amazing day today? You are gonna have to scooch over a little. You're like in the perfect husky curl. Can you turn this light on maybe? Oh, she's like mom, turn the light off. I was sleeping. Okay, turn it off. Try to turn it off. It just made it brighter. There you go. I don't see you in the perfect husky curl that often unless you're on your bed. But my goodness, we got one over here. We got Memphis on the floor again, which for those of you that are wondering, we put her on the bed last night, she ended up back on the floor. That was apparently just where she wanted to be. So I don't know if I'm gonna move her or not. I still have to take them outside. I'm filming the goodnight clip right before I take them out just to make it easy because they were all super cute. And look at you. You snuggled up against dad. Dad's ready for bed, huh? She's like, yep, I'm not moving mom. I don't even need to go outside. Just leave me here. So we had a pretty fun day today. That was pretty, that's pretty cool. I'm glad that we stopped and went to the Badlands. That was pretty cool. And as long as we get some sleep and feel good enough in the morning, we might go on an adventure in the morning. But we'll wait till tomorrow to figure that out, whether or not that's gonna happen. So for now, we're gonna go ahead and call it a night. We hope you guys enjoyed today's video.
