The Wind Storm is Coming! Time to SAVE the Bird Eggs!

Today was absolutely crazy. We started out with a beautiful 70-degree day, which is just wild for this time of year! We had to get to work taking down two dead pine trees before the next big storm rolled in. We were so worried they might fall on the neighbor's house or our building, so Greg and Jamie got to work with the axe and the trailer. It's going to make some great firewood once it dries out, even if it is a little sappy and sticky right now!
We also took a little trip out to see the flood damage from a few days ago. It is unbelievable how high the water got! You can see exactly where the creek rose up to the bridge. While we were out, we tested a new scooter for the review channel, but the weather didn't stay nice for long. "Dorothy" decided to visit, and the wind gusts started hitting 50 mph! We even had to help Jamie rescue some birds because the wind was just too much for them.
To end the day, the girls got a special treat of sardine juice on their lunch, and they absolutely loved it! Even though it started pouring, Memphis insisted on her walk. We saw so many bunnies popping up everywhere! Memphis did so well on her walk today, and we finished the night with some hockey and a bird nest update. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
