My Husky JUMPS Into the POOL For the FIRST TIME This YEAR! The BIG Pool Is Open!

Jump Eleanor! Jump! Yeah! Yes! The pool is back! Say good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience! We's at the vet. To find out about all kinds of stuff we can do to make you feel better. I need to check for squirrels. Try again! 3... 2... 1... Memphis is like, I'm going! I got this! I checked for squirrels. Apparently, I didn't check for birds. The birds are usually up high enough though. Don't have to worry about them as much. Run! Look it! Look! It's... What is the date today? May 14th or 15th or something crazy. That tree is almost open. That tree is finally open. That tree is trying to open. It's also 77 degrees today. First really nice warm day we've had all spring. Ah! Northern Michigan weather. That's pretty much how it is for you. So clearly, as you can tell, we are back from the vet with Miss Memphis. What do we have to say Memphis? Like, see you later. Bye! So part of the reason I took her to the vet today was for the... Oh! Critter! I don't think either of you caught him. I'm pretty sure he's under the shed. Memphis is like, I'm going to check him out too. Look at you move! Look at you! That was beautiful! So part of the reason we went to the vet this morning... Let's go see if we can see what they're looking at. I know what you're looking at. You can't get him. He's under the shed. So we took Memphis in today to have a consultation with Dr. Ryan about having PRP therapy done again. I for some reason thought we did PRP therapy in November. Apparently, we did PRP therapy with Memphis last July. So getting it done again, definitely a good idea. He agrees that we should have it done. She's going to have it done next week. Thankfully, he was able to get her in pretty quick. So, as far as I know, she's going to have it done on her right knee and her right hock. Look at her go! She's like, I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I can move just fine. You are on the move today. If they can get enough plasma, they will also be doing her left hock as well. If not, her left hock is not as bad as her right. So we're going to go with the right side and see what we can do from there. Bye Eleanor! See you later! But that's kind of where we're at. So if you guys are new here, you may not have any idea what I mean when I say PRP therapy. If you're new, welcome to our lives. They're kind of crazy. PRP therapy is plasma rich plasma... You know what? I'm never going to remember either, so we're just going to put it on the screen. I call it PRP because I don't remember. Basically what they do is they take Memphis's own plasma, they spin out the plasma from her blood and then they inject just the plasma into her joints. Usually they can do two joints at a time. Sometimes if they're lucky, they can do three. It just depends on how much plasma they can spin when they do the blood draw. So we're hoping that they can at least do the two, possibly the third. And then, what else are we doing? We're starting her on Attaquan. Any of you in the comments that have used the Attaquan, please sound off. I would love to hear your experience with it because again, if you've been here for a while you know that we had a horrible experience with the Labrella, which has made me really nervous to try any type of injectable medicine, but I've talked to a lot of people who have done the Attaquan and they've had great results. What's crazy is I talked to a lot of people who used the Labrella and had great results too, so I'm still a little nervous about it, but I had a really long conversation with Dr. Ryan this morning while we took Memphis to the vet and I feel a lot more confident about giving it to her. I think that's going to be the plan. I'm going to put the dogs inside right now and I'm going to go see how the boys are doing working on the fence. We've got some fence progress going on and it's looking pretty good, so I'm going to head down there and check out the fence. Right girls? It's warm today. I did also show Dr. Ryan Memphis' cool brace and he really likes the idea of those. He also said he was going to send me some information on some other supplements we could be using for Memphis. He asked me what we had her on and I told him that we currently have her on the Myos Muscle Formula. He said this stuff is great to keep her on it and then we switched from Dasiquin to Geico Flex Plus. He also said this is great so he said to keep her on those and he's going to send me some other stuff to possibly start giving her. Go on! Into the living room! We got the AC's on for you. Memphis was like, no! We got the floaty out, but she didn't seem to want to float in it. We're like, we don't need to put her in it! Look how pretty you are! Hi! You're all wet! So are you! You are skinnier this year! Good! You did finally lose some weight! And you look like a twig! Apparently I have to feed you more again! She's weighing in at 46.6 pounds, but I think she needs a little bit more meat on her bones. Kira's about perfect! Memphis is always perfect! You are always perfect! Look! We got your bed out. Sometimes I wish they could just tell me what it is that they found. Whatever it is, Eleanor thinks it smells great! She's like, Kira! Get out of there! That's my stuff to roll in! She's drying herself off on the grass. She's like, She's like, dad I got tired of waiting for you guys drying myself off on the grass. She's like, yes! This is the best part! She's like, I'm gonna stay wet for forever. I worked so hard to get in the pool. I worked so hard. Now you want to dry me off? I don't think so. She's like, hey you dry me off again. I think I'm gonna have to get the blower out. Look at her butt. It's just coming out. Kira's like, I'll let Greg pet me. He doesn't have a towel in his hand. Memphis is like, I'm dry. You can pet me too. Oh! Oh yeah! This is great! Look at all these floofs are gonna come out as soon as you dry me off. Don't you eat that spicy raisin. Spicy sky raisins. Jalapeno snacks. Bless you! What is this? Hi! Hello! Are you that mad that I stole your floofs? Alright! Now she's wet. This is what's coming out for butt. I think... Bless you! We need to blow your coat out. We'll just do it the easy way. What you think? I don't have to put you on the table. We'll just be fast about it. We'll get some of it out. Ready? You're next ma'am! You're next! So, if you guys ever wondered how huskies are born. I think they're born out of this. You can definitely make a puppy out of it. Holy cow! That was just these two. I didn't even do you. They're not even done. They both were just done. I couldn't do anymore. Kira was getting loud at the end. I didn't want her scaring anybody. What you think? Should you get up on the table for a minute? You had a long day. I don't know if I should put you on the table. You're not shedding as bad as the other two. So, maybe not. But, maybe. We'll see. We didn't blow out Memphis' coat. But, clearly you can tell. We blew out Kira's coat. She's also dry, which is good. We need to get into a better habit of drying her completely after swimming. We blew out your coat. You look beautiful! Look at this shiny coat. As you can see, there's still little furs coming out of her. She's like, don't do it mom! Don't do it! I already did it. I took the brush, the slicker brush and I ran it over both of you girls. Even after all that fur, I got out with the blower. I got out this much more. With the brush. I didn't even do you! You look tired. I'm tired. I'm tired from all of that. But, you both look much better. Memphis, I'll try to work on you the next time you get wet, I think. The only reason I didn't do her, was because she didn't get wet. Since these two got wet, I figured I better do it. The other girls went swimming today. Memphis did not go swimming. I'm gonna take her on a short walk. We're gonna do about half of what we normally do. But again, we just gotta keep her on this routine. Since she didn't swim, we almost let her swim. We probably should have let her swim. She didn't seem to want to get in the water today. Since she didn't swim, we're gonna do a short little 15-20 minute walk. We'll basically go around and come up the short road. Yeah? Yeah! She does really good on her own. She doesn't want to run. She doesn't really pull. She walks differently. I think I said this the other day too. She walks differently when she's by herself. Sometimes, it's a little bit easier. Right? Sometimes. And again, this is really just therapy for her working on strengthening those legs. Holy cow! Oh my goodness! I just went to let the dogs outside. I think the neighbor's house is on fire. The neighbor's house is definitely on fire and that was a huge explosion. Holy cow! I'm really hoping it's not their house. There's also a garage back there. And I think that might be what's on fire. The garage. Because there's stuff blowing up back there for sure. Holy cow! I went to let the dogs outside before the rain started because it was going to start raining. I was walking through the living room and I'm like, why is the sunset still out? The sunset shouldn't be out. And then I saw this massive fireball shoot. Oh, it's so thundery. There's also thunder and lightning. But I saw this massive fireball shoot up from the sky and then I realized that the neighbor's place was on fire. Come on, it's raining. Oh, I missed the lightning. It was right there. Okay, back in the house. So anyway, it's thankfully just their workshop that was on fire, not their house. The fire department was there. Other people had already called, thankfully. It looks like they're going to be able to hopefully save the house. So, I rode over there and talked to some of the neighbors and they said everybody in the house is okay. I did stay off the roads that were blocked. I didn't want to get in trouble or be in the way, but I did want to go talk to some of the other neighbors. So yeah, I don't know if we can still see through the dark out this window. You can see glow happening right there. That was crazy. That was really crazy. Not what I expected to see when going to let the dogs out. And that is what burned down last night. The barn. Thankfully. It looks like they possibly got their boat out. But I'm not sure. But the house survived and everybody was okay. What a crazy night that was. So crazy what a difference it was from yesterday to today. Yesterday it was 80 degrees and they were in the pool. Today it's 47. And we forgot to say goodnight last night.
