It is starting to get crazy warm here in Michigan, so today we decided to beat the oncoming heatwave with a fun pool day in the backyard! Eleanor and Kira had their lunch, chilled out for a bit, and then we headed out to check out the water. Eleanor has decided that floating in her boat is her absolute favorite thing ever! She doesn't even want to swim anymore, she just wants to float and catch her favorite squishy balls! Well, at least for today haha! Kira, on the other hand, managed to step on the edge of Memphis's baby pool and accidentally drained half the water!
After drying off, we took a quick trip out to the house we are renovating to check on Jamie's progress. He has been pulling out the old paneling and we discovered beautiful hardwood floors hiding under the old flooring in the bedroom! We also gave you a quick tour of our massive backyard out there, including our very own "mystery spot" shed that is leaning heavily due to some giant tree roots.
When we got back, the girls got amped up with some major stompies and husky woos because it was time for a walk! We kept it short at just one mile because of the high humidity, but we still managed to spot a neighborhood kitty cat and our backyard bunny friend, who we officially named Roger! To wrap up the day, Eleanor got her thick coat blown out with the dryer, creating a total husky fur storm in the yard to get her ready for the 102-degree weather ahead.
