NFC North Shakeup: Bears' Bold Move for Jeffery Simmons

Really, you know, to start off week eight here, Kyle, I mean, this has got to shake up the NFC North a little bit here. Michael Parsons is coming back, you know, with the Green Bay Packers. Now you bring up this guy here, who I think is the best defensive tackle in pro football. You make this trade from Tennessee to the Bears, and now you got to say, man, Chicago Bears are all in, and Ryan Poles has actually reformed himself. He was a guy many people were talking about in Chicago who couldn't build a roster. Now look at them. They may be the favorites now to win the NFC with this move. Yeah, you've got to like the move. I mean, obviously they're pushing all the chips in on Ben Johnson, right? This is to me saying that we don't need picks. We don't need more offensive talent. We've got what it takes to score. We just need to get a stop once every quarter or something. The defense has been struggling, but if they can step up now, you've got Simmons in sooner rather than later. You mentioned Parsons. You didn't mention it, but we got Branch back last week for the Lions. He intercepts the pass. Like, slowly but surely, the NFC North that was all offense is getting some defensive help here. Could the NFC champion come out of the NFC North? Could the Super Bowl champion come out of the NFC North? I'm not putting it past any of these teams. No, absolutely. I think this really also goes into Dennis Allen, too. Dennis Allen has really kind of put that defense really kind of together. They've run some really nice things in the opening part of the season here.
