Video Summary
AI GeneratedFollowing a dramatic second-half comeback against the Ravens, Coach Zach Taylor and the Bengals are focusing on consistency and identity. While the team proved they can dominate, the emphasis remains on maintaining a high level of practice and physicality to avoid the inconsistency seen in the first half of their recent victory.
Zach Taylor just revealed the Bengals' master plan,
and what he said after that Ravens
comeback has Bengals fans fired up.
Cincinnati went from getting shut out
in the first quarter to dropping 35 points on Baltimore,
and Taylor believes this team just proved something huge.
So what does this mean for the Bengals moving forward?
We're going to be diving into all of that here today.
We've got a lot to get into,
so be sure to stick around until the very end as we recap
some of the things that players coaches all
the above had to say about Sunday's game versus
Baltimore it was a big game that second half performance
was able to boost the Bengals uh
far enough to overcome a really rough first half performance
so big shout out to you guys for

so we dive in today talking first about Zach Taylor
saying that the Bengals can be who they think they
are and you can be who you think you are
because as you get older we know that you start
to lose energy you start to lose focus you start
to lose stamina and recovery, and it's not what it used to be.
But it's a decline that is so
gradual that most of the time people don't even
notice it until it's too late. And that is where
the sponsor of today's video, Mars Men, comes in right here.
Mars Men uses clinically dosed
ingredients like vitamin D, zinc, boron,
and a few others to naturally support testosterone,
energy, and stamina.
So that natural feeling really helps me with workouts. I don't feel
jittery. I don't get that temporary caffeine boost.

tell them that Bengals Digest sent you really helps out
the channel a ton so we dive in today
talking a little more about what Zach Taylor had
to say specifically I covered this in the game
recap but he was saying that it reaffirms we can
be who we think we are and we're not that first
half team and that's not what we want to stick to all season long
however he said it doesn't mean
it's going to happen if we show up next week
and we don't have a great week of practice or go lay
an egg I mean this is something that you have
to stay consistent with you can ride the high of it
for only so long before reality hits you
that this is a National Football League and any given
Sunday comes to strike you
so when they play the Titans this week it's going to be a tough matchup
it is never an easy matchup in the NFL they got the Titans
and then they have to head to Atlanta
And Atlanta looks hot right now as well,
playing a very good game against the 49ers.
Steelers, obviously, divisional game.
Commanders, Saints, looking onward.
Some of these games seem easier than others.
Don't get me wrong.
I mean, you look at the Titans, Falcons, Commanders,
and Saints, and you think Cincinnati is a
better team than them, and they should win those games.
Other ones being divisional games or the Chiefs there at the end,
which look like a very good
team right now.
And you just cannot take it for granted.
and I think that's what he's trying to get at here.
So a timeline of kind of what happened,
or I guess a box score rather of just a recap looking at that game.
Joe Burrow with a dominant performance.
T. Higgins with a dominant performance.
The running game really has to get going, and we'll get into that.
As the way that the standings look right now,
Steelers and Browns on top at 5-2, the Bengals 4-2.
So, you know, one less loss than the Ravens now have,
but they aren't a win above them in the division
because of that bye week.
So definitely going to be a game-by-game basis
and really be important looking forward.
Recent comment by Lensher63 on one of the recent videos
saying that he'd rather go for Zach Vaughn or Jordan Brooks.
He'd be happy with Jonathan Taylor, but the defense is a bigger need.
Does think Taylor would make this offense two-dimensional
instead of one-dimensional,
but I also think Brown is capable of being a much better running
back than he's currently running.
And mainly on that last quote there, being a much better
running back, I completely agree.
And I think that's something that the Bengals need to focus
on and practice this week to carry that momentum into next week.
So Joe Burrow reveals the offensive
identity of just, hey, we're going to get back
to doing what we need to do, and we're going to get
back to the basics he said started calling some
of our base stuff the o-line protected great and
we really got the ball in Jamar
and T's hands as many times as we could getting back to the roots
getting back to their identity
and when asked if they were more aggressive in this game he said yes
we had an aggressive simple style
and the stat line shows that for Joe Burrow with 292 yards
four touchdowns 22 for 30 he was very efficient 143 rating had
a good little couple runs there as
well only took one sack in this game
and didn't throw a single pick I mean he's trending upward
he's looking very good along the past three games
in terms of those stats when you look at that
there and where he throws where he gets
the ball I mean pretty much all over the place on the right
side of the field 39 out of 56 he throws the ball
a lot right there i didn't even realize it until i
pulled this up but overall 157 for 219 7.2 air yards
of throw he's got 1650 yards on the
season um 15 touchdowns and three interceptions
so you know you can see the trends there see what
he's kind of gotten efficient at moral of the story
is joe burrow has looked efficient and the
line has to take a lot of credit for that speaking
of that offensive line Orlando Brown says the
Bengals have to be more physical they have to set the edge offensively
and he said that the overall
physicality and our overall violence
is ultimately what helped them get the edge over that defensive
line in this game and of course the Ravens were dealing with injuries
so you have to take that into
account as well but he said it was just
an important step I don't like how we came out in
the first half, but I love the way we finished.
And I think every Bengals fan watching would very
much agree with that sentiment.
So looking at the efficiency of Joe Burrow, I mean, 71.7%
completion percentage. He's looked very efficient,
but the offense has to sustain this. Ted Karras
said this in the post game talks.
We only played 15 plays in the first half. So we had to give
our defense a break we had to stay on the field give
the defense um a break get and then they
held up giving them that break really made a difference in this one
and you watch it was just
a tale of two halves and the defense was able to step up
and allow their offense to complete the
comeback when those sides
are complementing each other it shows how good this football team i
personally think that was the best half
of football we have seen from the Bengals this season in that
second half and maybe one of the worst in the first half
so very opposite sides of the spectrum
you definitely want to take the momentum
of that second half going into next week and beyond T
Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, I mean they played well, they sparked
this comeback I mean what's there
to say that hasn't been said already, T said we
started playing together I feel like we were put
together as a team as an offensive unit bit
bit by bit started with the O-line and we just got it going
and some great leadership according to Zach Taylor
from Jamar Chase at halftime which really seemed
to get the offense going, whatever he said
in that locker room really seemed to have worked
in taking Ja'Marr's leadership, Tee Higgins had
a phenomenal performance especially in that second
half there, 148 yards on seven targets, he got six receptions
and a touchdown 24.7 yards per catch
longest catch of 44 yards, 85.7% catch rate, great stats out
of T Higgins and I talked about it
leading up to this that these two need
to complement each other, he needs to get open
where he gets his and Jamar Chase needs
to get done what he needs to get done, I don't think that
the questions about Jamar Chase are valid I don't think
that there's any issues with Jamar Chase I
I think he is still one of the best receivers in the league.
And I would still probably, if I had to take one over the other,
I would still probably take Ja'Marr Chase over Tee Higgins.
Love Tee Higgins.
But, you know, if it came down to brass tacks,
I think that's who I'm taking at this point in time.
But these two complement each other.
And you have a great quarterback throwing them the ball, of course.
But I see a lot of people worried about,
oh, he's not getting these 100-yard games.
Jamar Chase isn't.
And what's going on with him?
I don't think anything's going on I still think he's
a top 10 receiver in the league I still think
he's very much a key to winning these games offensively
and I don't think that they need
to start pointing fingers in terms of that, I mean
of course Tee Higgins is benefiting off of it, so if
that needs to be the case
then let that be the case, okay, I mean that's that's just how I feel
about it personally and then in terms of what drove
the comeback what do you guys think do you
think it was Burrow in the aggressive passing game
or do you think it was the offensive line
and the complimentary football i mean we got
to talk about the defense too because they got five
straight stops and boy
eMafe just looking absolutely dominant out there he just affects
the passer he got the two sacks he's looking great
on the season as well four and a half sacks and
15 tackles but he ultimately said
my stats don't mean anything at the end of the day
I want to win a game and that's exactly what they went out
and did when these guys move as a unit
crazy things can happen and I think the NFL really needs
to be scared about this unit if they can
stay cohesive throughout the term
of the season we'll find out next week here on
Bengals Digest stay tuned as we dive more into the Titans matchup
