Why the Eagles Should Trade Saquon Barkley and Rebuild

Uh, till I was asking what I trade or what the Eagles trade Barkley. If he's healthy, I think they're going to trade Barkley. He's not healthy. I think it would be malpractice to me. Look, I'm not going to question the Eagles brass. Okay. Because Howie Roseman's incredible. Like Howie Roseman. So good. But I would trade everyone. If I was Philadelphia, I would unload anyone and everyone I could. if i'm philadelphia because it kind of feels like this is the end like they held it together last year with kind of duct tape and and they kind of kept that group together for one more run Saquon Barkley ran for 2,000 yards and the history of running backs after they run for 2,000 yards is brutal and last year this year next year i i just don't think there's going to be a lot of productivity coming from Saquon Barkley for the rest of his career. He got a ring. The Eagles won a championship. He'll always go down as one of the great Eagle running backs who carried them to a title. So I don't want to downplay what the Eagles have accomplished under with Saquon Barkley. But yes, I would be trading Saquon Barkley. I'd be shopping anyone and everyone, to be quite honest, if I'm the Eagles. I'm looking to start over again. And it might not be with Jalen Hurts. You've heard Debro here on this show talk about it for months now that he does not think the Eagles will have Jalen Hurts as their starting quarterback next year, and Nick Sirianni may not be the head coach next year. So I would trade everyone. I would look at anyone and everyone who you could get draft capital for and try to go into the draft armed to go get your next guy, to go get your quarterback, because there are multiple quarterbacks. first round graded talented quarterbacks who are going to be in this draft coming up in april as many as five or six quarterbacks could be taken in the first round coming up next april so that wouldn't be horrible to go ahead and do that, the Eagles should grab Kirk Cousins, I don't hate that I mean look, the Raiders should be shopping Kirk Cousins, I said that I said yesterday, the Raiders 100% should be shopping Kirk Cousins, he could bring back a third or a fourth round pick, he could be your starting quarterback, he could be the guy for you going forward or at least a guy who could be a stopgap if you're the Eagles and you're going to move off Jalen Hurts, you could trade for Kirk Cousins, and then after trading for Kirk Cousins he's the guy, much like he's doing right now to be the placeholder until the kid whoever you draft in the first round in April is ready, Mendoza is going to be, you know, Mendoza is a project let's just call him that, okay, I'm not a huge fan of Mendoza, I wouldn't have taken him first overall but I'm not a talent evaluator, I'm just I've watched a lot of football in my days, I'm very worried about him being able to read NFL defenses, I don't think he's nearly as athletic as people think he is, we'll see, we'll see what the kid looks like, okay, I I've been wrong before, I probably might be wrong again, and Clint Kubiak is a really good head coach but I would shop in the next two weeks, I would be shopping, I would be playing Kirk Cousins with the intention of shipping him somewhere, I'm showcasing him because Mendoza is going to play like we talked about yesterday, I think the raiders have a pretty good shot of losing the next five games and that would be a nine game losing streak for the raiders they'd go from three and oh to three and nine and the year would have just completely and totally fallen apart Thank you.
