What did you think, you know, watching,
haven't watched this series from game one, Greg,
and now watching,
especially last night in the extra inning and the ability where the
challenge resets every inning, whether you're right or wrong reset.
I, all I remember is the, you know,
the old school baseball guys going, this is the worst
thing you're ruining the game of baseball.
This is not, this is, you're so unnatural.
You can't just, I gotta tell you, I, it brings another level.
level to watching these games
and they've done a really good job on the broadcast because the
guys aren't tipping it they're letting you see it
and then they talk about what's going on which i
think is uh is interesting but i'm wondering
when do the guys in the booth know what the result do
they see it in real time
or are they holding off until until the graphic shows up no no they're
not yeah no i'm part of the broadcast
so i can tell you that you have a really you have a really
good indication sitting at home like everybody
else does watching pitch tracks now really we get
yeah we get access to uh the uh what's called
the major league baseball research tool so that's not
something that the public has access to i have access
to that and everybody involved in baseball
has access to that and that gives us a little
a little bit more of an indication as to where the
ball landed and whether or not it's a ball it's a strike
but the the definitive answer is coming
from that board at the game that that's where it's coming
from do we do we have a we have a
little bit more insight do we have a better guess than than uh
the people at home yes yes that is
the case but you know to your point
and this is why look no one ever likes a commissioner joe no
one likes Silver no one likes Stern no one likes Manfred
no one likes Seelig no one likes anybody
but but Rob Manfred i mean i don't know what
his legacy is going to be in the end and certainly if
there's a long lockout or and something that could change it
but when you think about it joe like you
you may do a show in two days and go oh that's rob manfred
but think about what he did he get he
the bases made more stolen bases right we got more stolen bases out
of it everyone didn't want that
he eliminated the shift
which created more hits there put the pitch clock in no one wanted that
it's the best thing ever uh the ABS system that has absolutely worked
and listen i know it doesn't
sound like joe you like the ghost runner i love
the ghost runner by the way i hated it when it
first started i will tell you something else as part
of the new CBA with the players i can assure
you that at some point we're going to get the ghost runner
and play off baseball now i i don't
think it's in the 10th inning
but i don't think you're going to see a lot of games go 12 innings
anymore without using the ghost runner i think it's coming
Thank
you.
