AI GeneratedThe Minnesota Wild are managing several player injuries ahead of a five-game road trip. While some key players are beginning to travel with the team, others remain sidelined. Additionally, young talent Danilo Yurov is receiving significant praise from both his own coaching staff and opposing NHL coaches for his impressive early-season performance.
John Hynes and the Minnesota Wild have dropped
multiple updates ahead of tomorrow's game
on the road trip, including five injury updates to the players
who are injured on this game.
We're going to be breaking that down as well as going over Danilo Yorov
and one coach across
the NHL having a high amount of praise for him.
We're going to be touching on that here
at the end of this video, so be sure to stick
round before we do it in this video
though ladies if you haven't already be sure to drop a sub here
on channel we have a lot of stuff coming with this season now underway
and be sure to drop a
to stay up to date with everything going
on with this team lots of live streams
coming will not miss it but i need to get straight into it
because we have a lot of updates on a lot
of different players with this team being as injury plagued
as it's been a long long time but you see
this here, a big update from
John Hynes. He goes to
here, Olimata
will travel tomorrow. Doesn't
mean just yet they're playing, we're going to touch on that here
in a second, but both Molinos will not
travel at least to start the five
gamer, and they both have a
chance of going this road trip.
Now, this is quite a long
road trip, five games over,
close on 10, 11, 12 days I believe.
So, you're going to want to make sure
you have at least some of these guys
back, and I think the biggest factor
Spurgeon and Mata are going to be returning soon.
Not maybe tomorrow against Edmonton, maybe not the game after,
but they are traveling, which is a good sign.
And since Jared Spurgeon was injured, which is really the timeline,
it seems like, of this road trip, as yesterday he was placed on the IR,
that is not the biggest deal.
That was just to get up room for Carson Lambos
to come in in the lineup,
or in the, I guess, the extra spots in the lineup,
in case there was another injury.
But that travel plans that were dropped yesterday and today as well,
is that Spurgeon, Thurman, and Mata are going to travel.
So Spurgeon also came off the IR on Tuesday,
so he's already had his time to serve.
Now, with the teams that are coming up, there's going
to be a big need for all these guys, Edmonton in specific.
But the way this defense has been playing
with a lot of injuries has been fun.
I'll say it's crazy to say that they've been keeping
and holding down the fort with a lot of different ways that,
you know, this has been structured.
It's been crazy.
But having Spurgeon back, having a lot of your guys back,
Only Mata is going to see this from yesterday as well for that game.
It was Hunter Hayden, Carson Lambos for insurance.
So, there's no sure of it.
Spurgeon was placed on the IR for the roster spot,
but he didn't come off as early as he did in Edmonton.
So, it's going to be big.
Because Spurgeon has been an incredible player
this season for six games.
Not just his statistics, not just the time on ice,
but being that first-pairing guy with Quinn Hughes,
giving a big spot to Phil and Brock Faber.
Spurgeon's done that very, very well,
and he's someone that I want back as soon as possible
to be able to give that spot back on the second line to Jonas Brodine.
can make him play on the top hand with Quinn Hughes,
because we've seen over the past couple of games
a few pucks that have bounced over his stick.
Very difficult to pick a puck up on the forecheck,
and his backhand on the blue line especially.
So being able to move him back down as well
gives Spurgeon that first line again
will be a big opportunity.
But looking at this,
Nico Sturm and Ole Mata seem to be next.
Another huge set of players
because Ole Mata as well being here
gives Roos an option to have
a normal partner back so far
with Ole Mata who was on his left side
for that line.
But Nico Sturm as well, someone
who has had the best face-off for a while,
and one of the best in the NHL.
I don't know the exact number for the remainder,
but Nico Sturm is sitting at, I think, a 15th spot here,
so a huge return would be big, or would be incoming to him.
Without these two, obviously, Nico Sturm was that 13th forward,
so you can live without him.
But he's playing good.
You want him in the lineup to make sure that he's there
and capable of filling in for the holes that this team have,
And getting him back there with McCarron and Loren,
it'd be good to see how that turns out again.
But, see, this term is traveling
in after entering the structure protocol.
There is no update yet, but once again,
that's something that they're evaluating this week.
We will know more coming tomorrow.
And the same thing with Mata goes.
He will travel despite the earlier report.
And travel, I think the big thing here,
does not establish a return date.
That's just assuming they may be able to return over
this five-game stretch, but there is a chance they don't.
keep that in mind and as for the Polinos they
will you know i should say they could join them
later down the road they will still uh they'll stay home for now
so i think there's a pretty
easy transformation Marcus Polino back
here hopefully both but i think marcus
whenever it does happen whether whatever
the day may be but these are the updates as well
and a few other ones.
Phillip Gustin will be at least another month,
what John Stein said.
That's another big one,
especially for trade markets that we've seen as of late.
So it may be a bit closer to December now.
At this point, Brock's favorite still remains out,
and Height Lambos, who are recalled as adjourned,
and will stay on the roster until we get another game added back in.
So, a lot of updates.
Let me know what you think about these down below,
and who do you want to see come off first?
There's a lot of roles to be fulfilled here on this.
Get back to our regular schedule program.
But with that being said, this team was not quite bad this season.
I think one of the biggest surprises has been Dezing's job,
because all he has been incredible.
You're seeing now what Daniel Yob is supposed to be,
and he's finally coming into play, coming into his own with this team.
And he got some praise from tomorrow's opponent, like Mike Babcock,
and he had to play this surrounding
the game against the Wild coming up.
Like Mike Babcock said this, obviously they have real good players,
and they have a really good depth i was really impressed
who's number 22 the russian kid he's
really good you're over something like
that he looks like a real player to me too and a lot of
people don't like that mike babcock
but i gotta say one thing he calls the spades a spade there's
a certain type of player that mike babcock likes really hard knows
the old talented player and
the fact that he said this about Neil Euro
with how many players he's coached over his entire
career as an NHL
head coach, this is
some high praise, and
you know, there's
going to be a lot of
pressure on Yurov,
especially now coming
in with some
different lines up,
some perhaps bigger
roles coming soon,
but he's adjusting
well to that.
He's adapting well
to it, and I think
it's fair to say at
this point right now,
Edmonton will have
their eyes on Yurov
when it comes to
tomorrow's game and
make sure they're not
letting him get
anything.
So, if I'm Yurov, I
want to show Mike
Babcock that what he
said was right, but
Don Hines said the
same thing as well.
He said this yesterday
too, post-game.
He said,
About Danilo Yurov,
he's going to be a top two-line center for a long time.
The way that he thinks the game, sees the game,
now we're starting to see him skating too.
You know, there's a lot of praise for this kid right now.
Although we've seen him in trade rumors with Larkin,
that's a tough question to answer
because the more games he plays,
the better he gets, the tougher it is to trade him.
And through nine games, five points, four goals,
one assist, time on ice is getting better,
but still sitting at 13 minutes and 30 seconds per game,
every second that he's on the ice throughout those average 13-30,
he's incredibly noted.
But I think that's the biggest start for his career.
And, I mean, looking at the games throughout the season,
four goals throughout nine games,
he's on a very, very good pace for this early in the season.
So, you know, once he gets a little bit more comfortable
with perhaps what could be Yakov Trenin,
Maxim Chabanov as a line, it's going to look good.
I mean, the chemistry is there.
they play smart they're smart players they play
well without the puck they got skill they got good vision
they work hard do they ever have good vision i mean every time
that line is on the ice
puck is moving everywhere
so you know as far as it goes for next game you kind of keep this
line together because of how good it has
been and what do you think this is what we're going
to really be looking at they're going to test
that third line they're going to see if they
find chemistry because I think Edmonton
is the biggest opponent over the past couple of games
they have a very very talented players over there as well
but you want to see if you can get that
offense not off the top line but down through
so this line is going to be a very very big highlight
for the next couple of games I think a big part of why we've seen
so much success here
obviously based off percentage last year 39.2 percent
on the face offs really was not good to be honest
with you, but this year, through nine games,
56.6%, he has really found his home down the
middle, rather than being in the wing,
and the Wilds wanted him there last year, they
got him there now, and he's an amazing player,
and if you look at last season, it really
wasn't great, no matter what zone it was in,
there was just no success, and he's seen
what he's done at that point, but right now,
he got it, he has found a home for himself.
See this here, he's been working with Jarrett Stefan,
he puts time in, and effort into
So, Europe wants to learn. He wants to see, you know,
how he's able to get better at the position, and he certainly has.
So, seeing him against the Oilers tomorrow,
where he hasn't scored in a long time, but he has gotten
a point in the last two meetings, one point in two games,
let's see if we can get him on the board again tomorrow.
But looking at the lineup, it's going to be tough
to see what it's going to be, but we will have it.
Hopefully, we'll see the boys back very, very soon.
We'll be keeping all of the updates here
on the channel for tomorrow's game ahead of it.
You'll know as soon as the updates drop what the lineup is going to be.
So be sure to drop a sub here on the channel.
But give me your thoughts on all the stuff down below, folks.
That's all I got.
So give it a like, sub, and follow.
I'm signing out.
Thank you for watching.
Hope you have a great day.
