14 days before the midterms, folks.
14 days, 60 minutes, just looked America dead in the eye and
said, relax, sweetie. Non-citizen voting? Yeah.
Leslie Stahl says, it is a very small number.
Oh, good. A very small number.
Kind of like a very small number of holes in your parachute.
A very small number of raccoons living in your attic.
Go back to sleep, America. Nothing to
worry about here. I don't know about you,
but I don't want holes in my parachute and I damn sure
don't want no raccoons in my attic.
Here's a twist, guys. She said it to Harmeet Dhillon
from President Trump's own Department of Justice
and asked with a straight face whether catching
one, two, or three illegal voters really even matters.
Why even worry about them, right? Leslie,
one illegal vote cancels one American vote.
This is not a rounding error. That's yours.
And it gets even better than that.
Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan is former CIA,
So you already know she's great at keeping secrets.
She stood up in Chicago and told
everyone the secret. She sure did.
She wants young conservatives scared to work for this
administration. Her word? Deterrence.
Nothing says saving democracy quite like frightening
22-year-olds out of it.
Then Kamala Harris rolled out her Christmas list.
Pack the Supreme Court,
kill the Electoral College, make D.C. and Puerto Rico states,
all because the popular vote matters
so much. Now, quick reminder, she lost the popular vote.
Rather awkward, right? Meanwhile, Brazil
counts over 120 million votes in one night.
California, they need weeks, a search party,
and possibly a psychic.
Even the left in Wisconsin, they don't trust the count.
And the polls promising
a Democrat landslide? Same geniuses
who measured the drapes for Hillary Clinton. So what's really
going on. A setup. They're building
the excuse before a single vote is counted.
Now today, guys, you get every receipt
that the media forgot. If you're new here,
go ahead and hit subscribe. It's totally free
and unlike 60 Minutes, we're not going to edit
out the good parts. And if you're on Medicare
or maybe you're turning 65 years old, check out
Chapter, guys. I left their phone number down below.
Completely free Medicare help. They're
saving the average senior about $1,100 a year.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Because,
look, Medicare paperwork,
it shouldn't be harder to understand than a Kamala Harris speech about
Venn diagrams. So give my friends a chapter call right now.
I also left the link down there. Phone
number is 909-563-8279. It's totally free.
And I'm told that the best time to call might be this
weekend. And so by the end of the video,
if you're fired up even a little bit, hit the like button on
the way out. Totally appreciate you.
And yeah, it helps reach somebody who still thinks that this
is just a very small number
so picture it guys the 60-minute stopwatch tick tick tick okay studio
lights leather chairs Leslie Stahl leans
in like she's about to crack the case open across from her
Harmit Dillon, President Trump's Justice Department, calm arms folded
not the least bit impressed and
leslie says the non-citizen voters caught
so far are a very small number then she asked if you catch
one, two, or three? Should the whole election really be called off?
Wait a minute. Rewind.
Notice what she didn't ask. How many haven't been caught yet?
Because this is how this always goes.
Oh, it's a four-step dance. Step one, it's not happening.
Step two, okay, it's rare. Step three,
fine, but why do you care? Step four, actually, it's a good thing.
Now, Leslie is standing on
step number two, tapping her foot, waiting for step three.
Dylan didn't take the bait, not once.
And honestly, it kind of makes you wonder how much
of her answer ended up on the cutting
room floor.
What 60 Minutes is really good at, they're really good at editing.
Snip here and trim there
and somehow the best part always ends up on the cutting room floor.
This is exactly why the Ron Yates Report newsletter exists.
No editors, no scissors, no Leslie,
just the stories that they cut straight into your inbox
before the spin crew finishes their coffee.
And it's totally free guys,
it's not a very small number of dollars, how about zero?
Links in the description down below.
You can join for free.
Now, let's go ahead and do some sixth grade math here.
Picture two ballots on the table.
One belongs to a veteran.
He stood in line for a good 45 minutes in the rain,
got a bad knee, folding umbrella,
did it anyway.
The wind blew his umbrella inside out.
The other one belongs to someone
who isn't even allowed to vote at all because they're
here illegally.
Yeah.
Put those two people side by side.
What happens?
They cancel out.
His vote is gone.
It's erased.
happened. Basically, he stood in the rain for no reason,
standing on that bad knee. Now, go ahead
and tell him, it's just a very small number.
House races get decided by a few hundred votes, guys.
School boards, sometimes it's just a few dozen.
A small number is all it takes. And did you catch
Leslie's careful little word? Federal. Oh yeah, federal.
She kept the focus on federal elections.
All right. So what about city council and state house and sheriff?
Here's the part that really
burns asses when somebody does get caught what happens
to them, to the officials who let it slide
too often nothing, a shrug, a press release, nobody goes
to jail. Try a try voting as a foreigner in
Mexico or Japan. Bring a toothbrush, you're going
to be there a while. You ever watch a stage crew
build the set before the play starts? Hammers, paint, fake trees
this is what this interview was
Set construction. Think about it.
President Trump's DOJ catches illegal voters and asks
questions after November 3rd. The script's already written.
Paranoid. Conspiracy. We warned you.
And folks, Leslie Stahl has done this before.
October 2020. 60 Minutes. Same chair. Same
gangster lean. She told President Trump
the Hunter Biden laptop can't be verified.
Spoiler alert. Sure could. Sure was.
That's right. Same interview. She brushed off his
claim that the campaign got spied on.
Turns out Trump had a point. He had a rather big point. So
when Leslie tells you that there's nothing to see here,
you might want to grab your glasses.
Now, here's the other half of the trap.
If Republicans win, watch how fast these same
people discover election fraud.
Suddenly it's everywhere, under the couch, in the mailbox.
Heads, they win. Tails, you cheated.
Now, when somebody begs you not to look,
this is exactly where you should be looking.
Now, quick favor, guys, you know that one relative,
you know, the, the, it's just a few votes.
Who really cares? You can picture them at Thanksgiving
right now, reaching for them rolls. Yeah.
Don't argue with them. Just go ahead and send them this
video. Let Leslie do the arguing for you.
Now picture this guys, Chicago, University of Chicago.
Okay. David Axelrod's Institute of Politics,
rows of college kids, fancy water bottles. And
you know, it's probably, they got Voss and Fiji out there.
Who knows? And up on stage,
Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, former CIA.
Now, you would think that a former spy would
know how to keep a secret. You would be wrong.
She says that she wants to go after the people
who enabled Trump, not the president.
Then she says the quiet part. She wants young people coming
out of school to think, and I'm quoting here,
guys, Lord, that might be buying myself a ton
of problems. And then I want that deterrence message sent.
Deterrence, that is a word you
use for nuclear missiles, not 22-year-olds with resumes.
I want, I want, I want. Not I'd suggest,
not I'd prefer, I want. This wasn't a backroom,
this was a microphone, guys. A student paper,
the Chicago Thinker posted it, overnight viral.
The New York Post picked it up, and now people
are calling for her resignation.
Anybody else think she should resign? I am into effectiveness.
And if we have the House but not the Senate,
I don't have a ton of faith that my Republican
colleagues are going to have any more strength.
So that's what I'm saying. I want to look at these
signature cases and not just focus on the president,
but on the people who enabled him.
I want young people coming out of school to say,
should I go work for the Trump administration?
Like, that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity.
I want them to be like, Lord, that might be buying
myself a ton of problems that I don't want.
And so let me avoid participating in that.
I want that deterrence message sent.
So this is Elissa Slotkin, of course, from from the state of Michigan,
speaking at the Institute of Politics,
which is run by David Axelrod at the University of Chicago.
And this is really chilling stuff, you guys.
And by the way, this was posted by the Chicago Thinker,
which is the independent conservative thinking newspaper
at the University of Chicago.
And it went absolutely viral overnight
because the message is very clear.
And by the way, it's a great reminder
for everyone. This is who they are.
As you go into the midterms, this is who they are.
They want to punish people
and they're sending a very clear message on campus.
And it's twofold. One, if you're acute, if you have wrong think,
if you're conservative, you know, self-censor or go underground.
Beware. It also sends an interesting message to the radical leftists
on campus, of which there are many, as we know.
And it tells them that it's open season
on conservative students and you can pull it.
Now, let's go ahead and zoom in, guys.
Okay, you got a kitchen table, somewhere in Michigan,
a 22-year-old just graduated, fresh diploma,
student loans the size of a mortgage payment,
mom's making some pancakes.
Put extra butter on mine and actually burn the edges, please.
He's got a job application open,
Trump administration, cursor blinking. He's excited.
He wants to serve his country.
And then he remembers what Senator Slotkin said.
Maybe not. This is the whole point, guys.
The target was never just Trump. It's your son.
it's your daughter, it's your grandkid,
it's the next generation scared off before it even starts.
Nothing says saving democracy quite like frightening kids out
of participating in
democracy. And remember,
this is the same Slotkin who back in November 2025
joined five other Democrat lawmakers
in a video telling troops that they can refuse illegal
orders. You guys remember that, right?
Picking fights with the commander in chief seems to be
a hobby for these guys. Former CIA, by the way, folks.
The job that doesn't really come with an
off switch. So here's my message
to every young conservative watching the show today. Fill out
the application anyway. They want you scared.
Show up anyway. Now, here's where it gets funny.
Now, you would think only crazy MAGA people
question elections, right? Wrong. Wisconsin,
Francesca Hong, yes, a Democratic Socialist,
her side thought that she was a lock. Then she lost.
And who did her own supporters blame?
Not Republicans. Democrats. The internet melted
down for a good week. Socialists screaming
that the election got taken from them.
Welcome to the club, comrades.
We have jackets. And honestly, fair question,
when do Democrat voters even get a real primary?
In 2024, Kamala Harris became the nominee
without even winning a single primary vote. Not one.
That's not an election. This is a coronation.
And the Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong is facing
a swing state reality check as she tries to downplay
her far left history, including calls to defund the police.
Remember that she wanted to abolish ICE,
abolish the Senate, all of that and much more.
And Democrats, even on the far left, are worried she'll crash and burn.
Our Mark Meredith is live in Washington. Hi, Mark.
I should say it's Friday. That's the good news here.
But we're going to be watching what happens next week.
progressives are no doubt feeling emboldened,
but their biggest test yet comes on Tuesday.
Voters, as you mentioned, in the swing state
of Wisconsin are going to show how much or
how little they like Democratic socialism.
37-year-old State Assemblywoman Francesca Hong
is considered the frontrunner for the
Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
She's a Democratic socialist,
but she says she does not support the entire national DSA
platform.
Still, Hong has embraced controversy.
She's campaigned with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar,
as well as progressive activist Hasan
Piker.
Rapid fire. Do you support repealing Act 10? Yes. Universal child care.
Yes. Free school meals. Yes. Guaranteed pay leave. Yes.
Abolishing ICE. Yes. A one year data center moratorium. Yes.
But some are questioning
her judgment after multiple controversial posts online,
like calling for the abolition of Thanksgiving, claiming it's racist.
The state's Democratic governor, Tony Evers, now has this warning.
She has spent her entire campaign dealing with,
not with the issues, but what's on the Twitter.
And I just find that that's not a good way to beat Tom Tiffany.
And if you start that way, you're going to spend
your whole time doing that instead of having somebody like that.
Now, Democrats are also fully embracing Michigan's
progressive Senate candidate, Abdul Al-Sayed,
the candidate who nearly beat out a moderate Democrat this week,
is getting the star treatment,
including a nod from potential presidential
candidate Gavin Newsom. As the New York Post
points out, as soon as El-Sayed was declared the winner,
Newsom endorsed him. And now,
just days later, California's governor
is preparing to head to Michigan for a multi-day
campaign swing supporting the Democratic ticket.
And today, the former Transportation Secretary
Pete Buttigieg, he'll be in Detroit.
Remember, he's a Michigan resident now for an election
rally to boost Democrats, including El-Sayed.
And he told a podcaster earlier this week, Aisha,
that he's also leaning towards a presidential campaign
of his own. A lot of jockeying here
happening. Of course he is.
Now, if we head west, California, since 2020, everybody gets a mail-in
ballot. Everybody. You get a ballot. You get a ballot.
I don't even want a ballot. You get a
ballot anyway, right? Picture an apartment building,
mailboxes stuffed with ballots for
people who moved out years ago.
Some for people who moved to Texas, some for people who moved to
heaven thanks Gavin so when the far left
and the right both don't trust the count this is not
paranoia guys this is the system all right
so quick trip let's fly on over to Brazil election
night over 120 million votes
and by bedtime done counted results are on the board folks eating
dinner already know who won
so now if we come on back home to America pick a big American state
Let's just call it California, right?
Election night, nothing. Day two, nothing. Week two,
some guy in a county office is still feeding envelopes through
a machine like he's playing slots in
Vegas. Look, we put rovers on Mars.
We built phones that know what you want for lunch before
you do. But counting to Tuesday, oh, it's too hard.
Calculators exist, people. Brazil, Brazil
is beating us at elections.
Brazil, guys, President Trump, he has been hammering this
with the Save America Act.
Proof of citizenship, clean voter rolls, basic stuff with the Save
America Act. The kind of thing
that your local gym does before letting you on a treadmill.
Show your ID first? Yeah. Here's the thing, guys.
Left or right, everybody agrees the system is
slow. So the real question is not why it's slow.
The real question is who likes it that way.
Now, let's talk about Kamala Harris
because she just read her wish list out loud. Item number one,
pack the Supreme Court.
Picture movers hauling some new chairs up the courthouse steps.
More chairs. More chairs. Somebody call Ikea.
Item number two, change or kill the Electoral
College. Item number three, make D.C. and Puerto Rico states.
This is four brand new Senate seats,
all very likely Democrat. Total coincidence, I'm sure.
If those places voted Republican,
this idea would vanish overnight.
Her reason? The popular vote has to matter.
Work that we can do about winning back the House
and the Senate is going to be on a number of things.
For example, I believe that we need to expand the Supreme Court.
We need more justices on the Supreme Court
so that we can have a court that actually reinforces the spirit
and principles behind the Constitution of the United States.
I believe that we should be pushing for what
is possible around changing the Electoral College.
Right?
Because what's going on?
Well, it's about, you know, the popular vote has to matter, right?
Those are the things that make people feel like, ah, overwhelmed.
And does their vote matter?
Yes.
We have, you know, listen, if the folks there want it,
we should be pushing for statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C., right?
These are some of the things that are structural that we need to do.
Now, quick check, guys.
Who won the popular vote in 2024?
Anybody remember?
Donald J. Trump and every swing state by the way
by her own rules he wins awkward exactly and packing
the court never ends she adds four
the next guy adds six 50 years from now we got like 84 justices
on a waiting list now kill the electoral college
and New York and California pick every president
rural America gets a participation trophy we're
not a republic at that point that was the whole
point. Now, polls, right? The betting markets
are saying the Democrats have about a 63% shot at the
Senate and 90% for the House. 90%. Wow.
Should we all just go ahead and stay home? Pass.
Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?
2016, cable news, big, shiny touchscreen map.
Hillary, up by double digits.
Anchors, practically picking out the White House curtains. Champagne
on ice, Rosé, Alizé, Moët, who knows? How did that go?
2024, Kamala Harris favored momentum,
joy, vibes. How did that go?
These are the same pollsters who have been wrong so many times that
they should be doing the weather at this point.
I mean, at least the weatherman gets it right
sometimes. Here's what the polls cannot do.
They cannot stand in line. They cannot fill in a bubble
and they cannot vote. Polls don't vote.
People do. And people are showing up. In fact,
early voting lines in Tennessee, in Florida, in Michigan.
Texas just opened its doors.
So you tell me, where are you watching from, guys?
Drop your state down below. Let's just
see how many red, let's just see how red this map actually gets.
So let's go ahead and put it all
together. Picture three clips on the table.
Leslie Stahl, Elise Slotkin, Kamala Harris.
They told you to plan out loud on camera.
If they win in 14 days, two years of subpoenas and
hearings and investigations, impeachment talk.
Picture subpoenas stacking up on desks in the
West Wing like unpaid bills. President Trump's agenda frozen.
This is not my theory. This is
Slotkin's announcement. I get it, guys.
Gas is high in a lot of places. Highest in the blue
states like California, where Gavin Newsom treats
refineries like villains in a Disney movie.
And people are tired of the war.
Oh yeah, they're done with Iran. But here's the difference. Gas
prices are a problem. A packed court is a permanent problem.
Look at France. Look at France. That is
the preview, guys. 2028, Gavin Newsom leads the field.
J.D. Vance leads Newsom. These midterms
decide what J.D. Vance inherits. Staying home is not neutral.
And if someone says we can't vote
our way out of this, that's exactly what they're hoping
that you believe. Now, folks, Leslie Stahl,
she called it a very small number.
Elise Slotkin called it deterrence. Kamala Harris called it
structural. I call it a warning.
Think of the one person who has been sitting this one out.
Send this to them, not to scare them, to wake them up.
Now, if this fired you up even a little
bit, smash the like button on the way out.
One tap costs you nothing, and it definitely helps
reach someone who still thinks that this is just a very small number.
Now, if you're not subscribed
yet, go ahead and fix that.
We don't edit out the good parts, and there are 14 days of this left.
God bless. Go vote.
