On the night of August 11, a Wildberries logistics complex caught fire in the Novousmansky District of the Voronezh Region. Local residents reported explosions, and the company confirmed the evacuation of employees. The circumstances and cause of the fire have not yet been officially confirmed. Monitoring channels are publishing video from the scene, which shows a large-scale fire. The Wildberries logistics complex in Aleksandrovka became fully operational in November 2025.
According to the Voronezh Region Investment Promotion Agency, the warehouse complex covers 152,900 square meters and can store over 90 million items. RVB invested approximately 11 billion rubles in the construction of the facility.
Wildberries has come under attack several times this summer. On August 7, drones attacked the company's logistics complex in Yekaterinburg, a city located more than 1,700 km from the Ukrainian border. A few days later, media reported that following the attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, sales of military goods on the marketplace had plummeted to a record low – in just three months, Wildberries sold 1.646 billion rubles worth of body armor, drones, and other equipment.
The company's mounting problems aren't limited to attacks. Russia's largest state-owned banks, Sberbank and VTB, are seeing deteriorating loan portfolio quality, and problems are growing among marketplace clients, particularly Wildberries, where an increasing number of borrowers are seeking debt restructuring.
