Russian military propagandist and Z-blogger Maxim Kalashnikov claimed that the Ukrainian army is preparing an operation to cut off Crimea and threaten two Russian groups simultaneously. He argued that if Ukraine succeeds in cutting off the peninsula's supply lines and land corridor, the Russian army could face a military catastrophe in Crimea and the Kherson region. Kalashnikov says Crimea is important to Russia not only as a political symbol, but also as a base for the Russian group in the southwest, so its isolation could impact the entire supply system. "They are preparing to cut off Crimea as a base for our Dnieper group, which is advancing in the southwest. If they succeed, there is a risk of creating two cauldrons: Crimea itself will become a cauldron, and the supply lines to the southern Dnieper group will be cut off. "They could cut off Crimea's land corridor and create a second cauldron in the lower reaches of the Dnieper. And so it turns out that now, with Drapatoy's appointment, with his fame... What a skilled commander, damn it! How I wish such people were on our side," he declared. Kalashnikov also commented on the appointment of Mykhailo Drapatiy as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian blogger Z effectively acknowledged him as a strong commander and expressed regret that such Ukrainian military personnel were not on Russia's side. "We should have brought in [troops] in 2014: there was a chance they would have gone over to our side if they had seen our resolve then. But we've already missed that chance," Kalashnikov said.

The occupation administration of the Kherson region once again demonstrates its inability to solve the problems accumulated over the years of occupation: instead of restoring critical infrastructure and eliminating the consequences of the crisis, the occupation authorities only extend the state of emergency and instruct officials to "monitor" the situation. This is reported by the Center for National Resistance of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that the real situation in the temporarily occupied territory remains critical.

“Residents of some settlements have been living for months without stable electricity and water supply, experiencing a fuel shortage, while farmers cannot fully carry out field work. Due to a lack of diesel fuel, agricultural machinery is idle, and crop losses are only increasing”, the statement reads. It is indicated that large-scale fires, which destroy fields and agricultural lands, remain an additional problem: despite this, the occupation administration does not offer effective response mechanisms, limiting itself to bureaucratic decisions and formal instructions to its subordinates. “While Russian propaganda talks about "stability" and "restoration" of the occupied Kherson region, reality indicates otherwise: instead of solving systemic problems, the occupation authorities only record them on paper, while residents of the region are forced to live daily in conditions of a humanitarian and infrastructure crisis”, summarize at the CNR.
