Iran warned the United States against further strikes on its territory and promised a decisive response against oil and gas facilities in neighboring countries. These statements came just hours after the Kuwaiti army reported the destruction of Iranian drones over its territory.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's statements came during separate phone calls with officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, Reuters reports . Nournews, an agency affiliated with Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that in the event of US strikes on the country's energy infrastructure, Tehran would target oil fields in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as gas fields in Qatar and Israel.

"Everything will be burned to the ground," Nournews stated.

In a conversation with Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Araghchi stated that Iran would respond decisively to any aggression. He also discussed with his partners the consequences of the US's "destabilizing actions" and the prospects for further deterioration of the security situation in the region. Araghchi later told Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan that any attacks by the US and Israel, or the involvement of other countries in the region, would receive a "proportionate response." During a cabinet meeting at the presidential retreat, Camp David, US President Donald Trump stated that American negotiators—his son-in-law Jared Kushner, Special Representative Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio—could still reach an agreement with Iran. At the same time, he acknowledged his growing distrust of the Iranian side.

"They break their word too often," said Donald Trump, the US President.

Trump emphasized his intention to "strike them." Meanwhile, the British service United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported two maritime incidents off the coast of Oman: in one case, a tanker was struck by an unknown projectile, which damaged the engine room, and in the other, the vessel's captain reported a splash of water and an explosion near the side, with no recorded damage.

Media previously reported that Trump ordered a suspension of strikes on Iran ahead of the Strait of Hormuz talks after several days of daily airstrikes on Iranian territory. This decision temporarily eased tensions in the region, but as Tehran's new threats demonstrate, the conflict remains unresolved.

Media also reported that Iran had previously struck oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, with Ukrainians among the casualties. This attack was one of the first examples of Tehran spreading military action to maritime trade in the Gulf, and it is precisely this scenario that the region is currently trying to deflect.
