WE MADE HER SO HAPPY

Good morning Pawdience. Oakley, you look like you just woke up. Look at the whole side of your fluffy face is smushed-y. It's like I did just wake up. I don't know what's going on right now. Good morning Pawdience. Rumor has it it's going to be 85 today. So we already have the fan cranked. So I got a message from Mike this morning. He said it's supposed to be a high of 85 degrees today. Holy man, it's already getting warm. It's already getting humid. I just went and picked up another air conditioning unit. The past couple years I've worked in the living room instead of in the office and we usually put an air-conditioning unit in the living room, but not in the office. But now that I'm working back in the office, I want one in each room because the dog's got to be comfortable and I got to be comfortable. So I went and got an air-conditioning unit this morning. I also wanted to show you how much work we've done on these. I think I... Oh, look at see now I can see that there's some edges here. I gotta get that blue paint on. Gotta get that blue paint on. Yeah, I think we showed you this last night before we went to bed, but we're uh... pretty much ready to put the non-skid sand coating on. I think that's what we're gonna do today. Today is also game night. So later on I think Eric's coming over. Greg's coming over. Mike's coming over. Brittany's out of town. So she won't be coming over. I don't know who else is coming over. I don't know if Mike's bringing Nora or not, but we'll find out later. Also, some of you guys have pointed out that we used OSB for the top of the A-frame. The pieces that we have right here. You can use exterior plywood. You can use whatever you want. I'm sure this isn't gonna last. I mean for Pete's sake it's left outside. So I'm sure it's not super gonna last. Anyway, in the video I'm making for the dogs I am gonna talk about the different types of wood you can use. You don't have to use what we used. You can use plywood, exterior grade plywood. There's a bunch of different things. We almost, almost used deck boards. The composite deck boards and layered them this way. It was an idea we had. Because they have a non-slip surface and they're made for outside, but the cost would have been a little bit too much. So we're gonna go with this and if it doesn't work, that's okay. Because the framework will be good and we can just redo the top of this and realistically this was fun. It didn't take much time. So if we have to redo it in a year, that's okay. We don't really mind. Alright, we're working on getting the non-skid finish stuff. Jamie and I decided that since it says if you put all that stuff in a gallon that the paint won't last. We're mixing it like this. That way we can keep the paint. So if we do end up having to redo this, we'll still have paint. Oh, the other thing I was gonna tell you guys too. If you use OSB because there's wheels on this, you can collapse it and when you're not using it, if you don't use it like we do, you can actually put it inside which will also make it last longer. I thought about that too. I'm like, it is actually designed to be put away. Yeah. Yeah, so anyway, I just wanted to mention that too. Alright, let's stir this together. See what happens. So we've got our first layer of non-skid. We got paint on the floor. Non-skid coating on here. This has to dry, but you guys can see. See if that'll focus that. Check that out. That's so cool. So that's gonna make it nice and grippy for the dogs. This would work out pretty good. I'm pretty excited. Now we're gonna do this one and then we get to do the yellow. We had to shut the garage door. It started to get hot. And pollen. Pollen and hot. But we got both coats on. Or well, both colors on. We might still do a second coat for both of them. Yeah, the yellow is definitely much more. We did better on this with the green. Then we did the blue. So the blue is definitely gonna need a second coat. Next project of the day! It's for the dogs, Jamie. It's going in the office. That's memory. We had that conversation. I can't burn up in the office. So we have to have one for the dogs and one for us. Oh, by the way, so a lot of you guys have asked and I actually had a couple people message me about this. No, we don't have central air. We have a boiler system in our house. So we don't have a furnace. We don't have anything that blows air through the house. Where we live in Northern Michigan, having air conditioning, like a full air conditioning unit inside of a house actually isn't very common. There are not very many houses up here that have a full air conditioning system in their house. We have a furnace, we can install central air, but we have a boiler. So we have to use window units. I actually found an attic air conditioning system, but it was really expensive. So let's go with a couple window units. Time for happier Huskies. Well, except the vacuum cleaners chasing Oakley. Jamie and Greg, thank you for the help, Greg. Got the new air conditioner in the window. So hopefully now... I should have showed you guys the temperature beforehand. It was 80 in here and now it's 73. So hopefully this will help. Yeah, you all look hot and miserable. It's hot. Greg and I just got back from the store. We got all the stuff we need for food tonight. Eric just showed up. Mike will be here shortly. We're gonna play some games and the air conditioner is already working great. I'm in the kitchen. It already feels a million times better in here. I just let the dogs outside. It's like 87. I know, don't complain that it's hot. I don't like the heat. I have Huskies for a reason. But we're gonna get to making some food, play... playing some games. The dogs are outside. It is a very giant window unit air conditioner, but it's gonna keep the house much cooler than it was. 73 is good. It was almost 80 in here. Too hot. This is much better. So we're playing Stylers of America and so far, nobody is winning. Mmm game night dinner. I thought cooking outside would be better, but it's hot outside. Looks delicious. Making some asparagus. Those were like giant. I don't know why they were so big. I know, that's all they had and we wanted asparagus so bad, we figured we'd buy it. Starting to get squashy? Leave it on there on high for a little bit. Brats and asparagus. These are chicken brats. Oh, do you know which ones are beef and which ones have stuff in them? Good. All right. I'm going back inside to prepare the rest. Are they swim shorts? Nice. And sauerkraut for good stuff. So here's the new air conditioner and here is the happiest dog you will ever see in your entire life. You can barely see her hair is just blowing just a little bit. She is so happy right now. Sound asleep in the cold. Happiest Oakley ever. So partially because of the heat, game night ended a little bit early tonight and it's still light out. It's only like 1130. So we're actually gonna go out to the farm and possibly plant the pumpkins. The temperature has dropped quite a bit, which is really nice. So hopefully it won't be so bad planting out there. We thought we got a little bit of daylight left. We might as well go do that and then hopefully second coat of paint on the A-frame. That's what's going on now. What'd you forget? You look like you forgot something. I didn't forget anything. Oh, looks like you were coming back for money. Pay for gas. We're all good. All right, let's go. Look at you! I know you're so excited. It's windy. Check this out. Mom's got baby pumpkins. We said the same thing. Check that out. So these are the seeds that we actually kept from our pumpkins from last year. Yeah, and they're all making babies. We got baby pumpkins. We got another tray. How crazy. So windy. We planted a bunch of pumpkins. Planted some things. We're losing daylight. We're heading back home. Look guys, it's aliens! That one's moving. And that one's not moving. No, I'm calling it dad. It's aliens. I can't focus on it. That's proof that it's aliens. How can anybody look up there? Right? How crazy. That's so weird. So you see the two little lights? One's moving and one's not. No, that other one is moving. It is not. It's staying right where it is. No, now it just moved. It did not. It's so weird. All right, it's not the UFO. It's Jupiter. It was a UFO until we figured out it was Jupiter. Yeah, the other thing went way, way over there. But that's definitely Jupiter. We looked it up. Yeah, true. We could just sit here and watch for it. And watch the sunset. In the wind. Yeah, that's not rain, you guys. That's not rain. That's bugs. Fall out, Jamie! One hit your antenna! That's so crazy. I can see them in the camera. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Yeah, that's the... It was 90 degrees today. And now it's 68 or something. Yeah, something like that. And then the bugs come out. Yuck! All right. Even though it's literally still 80 degrees outside. Probably hotter in here. We just got the last two coats. Of the non-skid surface on the A-frame. And we are done with this for tonight. We're gonna let it dry. Hopefully tomorrow, we put it together. Hopefully. Seriously? Can you... Can you possibly be any cuter right now? Can you... She's sound asleep. She's so out. You're a little upside down. Oh, you're so cute! She's like, I had a rough day today, guys. It was hot. I had to air out my bellies and stay cool. Hey, are you dreaming? New Memphis position. Hey Memphis. She's like, don't wake me up guys. I'm hot. You're so funny. You're a riot puppy. Yep, you're a riot. All right you guys. It is time to call it a night. Oh, Memphis is in there on the cool floor.
