She Got Everything She Wanted!

all right they're here they're [Music] still here hi what's today my birthday oh my goodness high five how old are you tyler's 11. guess what you're an old lady guess what oh i'm not old i don't have my wrinkles yet and nana and poppy are here nana's making eggs poppy is doing things last time i counted the prize visit last time i counted it was 187 days to my birthday how did it go from 187 days to today i don't know i don't know either marin got you this present right here we've got you a person that's at the store waiting and this one's from elena this one's from nana and i owned that for you i bought it with my own money because i love it oh my god and then addie made you a really special card over there all right so eat your food and then you can open these presents and then we have a really special day planned for tyler we're going to go shopping with my mom boom so special we've never done that before we've actually never done that together yeah with just one of them and i don't think i've been shopping with my mom since i was oh i know you're shopping with them and you always went with your dad because he was more patient than you yeah he was a little more patient than my mom so we've never been shopping together mommy since i've been like a teenager all right ty's gonna open her presents i'm gonna open everybody's present first good job [Music] [Music] oh beauty see any birds these really do work well a big lot of cash [Music] now you're gonna go out and have a good day ty don't leave her daddy what what oh sorry that was close and it was on camera too so that was gonna be really embarrassing for me we have 30 minutes in on doing hair and this is kid number three uh-oh if anybody wants to know why our kids hair is not done every day it's because who has been told to brush it but if they don't that's on that love it look at what age your kids get to be responsible for brushing their own hair i think tyler and elena and jude are adeline brushes her hair every day so i think obviously but if they choose not to then guess what when mom does their hair they're gonna have tangles and it's going to hurt and i'm sorry that's mommy chose neglected yeah yeah that's even one break okay that's great we're just going to do one then but we'll do it just on this one side time remember you're getting a coffee maybe on your birthday oh yeah i wanted a coffee today daddy dad all right y'all ready to go buckle up we're leaving all right guys today we are heading to a creamery we're actually just now getting here we're excited this is one of our field trips our homeschool co-op field trips we're excited to see this whole process it's a creamery where they have these eight two eight two cows eight two eight two registers a two a two registered jersey cows so we're going in and we're gonna [Music] [Music] what do you think [Music] oh yeah look at the birthday girl and her pretty birthday dress right we washed it so she could wear it and tyler and my mom and i where are you we're at the mall we're going shopping tyler hasn't been to the mall since she was like a baby i thought we forgot a stroller but we left out because there was this cart in the parking lot the only cart sitting there he's crooked so we gotta fix that but but it worked out so now we've got a cart we're gonna get some lunch what are we gonna do i think first we're gonna get something to eat and then what i think we're gonna go shopping gonna eat and go shopping are you excited look how pretty she looks i've never gone shopping for my birthday before with nana and mommy i don't think we've ever been shopping just us three yeah so we're gonna grab some lunch here we go what'd you get i got some fries and frosted lemonade frosted lemonade are you excited to try that does it look good and a fruit cup oh the buddy's sleeping [Music] i can't wait to try this i want to see what you think yeah go ahead okay okay is it delicious what does it taste like it has like this tastes kind of like smoothie but then it gets [Music] tastes like a creamsicle it's ice cream and lemonade mixed together it's her birthday so i'm not saying she can't have it but we did just yeah we had ice cream i got coffee flavor coffee ice cream what do you think of that big old bowl of fruit fruit some fries potatoes great nutrients it was called four cups delicious all right first store we're going into claire's have you ever been here i've never been here since you were a girl i know when i was a teenager i three get three what do you think look tyler little teeny backpacks pop-tarts backpack there's a lot of stuff here there is a lot of stuff is this a diary it is i think it's safe to say tyler loves the store she is picking out stuff for her and for all her sisters which is my favorite thing about my kids they are always thinking of each other anytime they think about themselves and so i just think that's the sweetest thing ever we are making sure to bring back something special for each one of the girls because that's what tyler wants to do and my mom obviously she doesn't really get to go shopping like this for all the kids so she's having a heyday also picking stuff out where is the mallard it's right down here look what we got all right what you got what show me what you picked out i picked these for one because it feels so snug and i think they're matchable with my dress look you're adorable cute little sunnies we came into francesca's israel is just bored with this store but i found this really pretty skirt and some sunnies that are ten dollars right now on sale nana's checking out some jewelry all right we made it out of the mall right ty you have fun she got a fruit smoothie she got some earrings she got some sunglasses and the thing she most asked for and requested for her birthday was what bell bottom she wanted some bell bottoms and we had a conversation about how when i was her age i told my mom i want flares and she said i used to wear those when i was a kid i said they were not the same how did she say it i used to wear those i said they're not the same and now that i'm grown and reliving that with my own daughter i'm realizing they sound like that they are the same they actually are the same they're the same they just recycle it every generation gen z or whatever generation is nothing you're doing is original it has all been done before yeah aren't they cute we'll have to show you guys we should put some on right ty all right we're gonna go to target because jude wanted so badly to get this present for tyler and we couldn't get in time so i told her i would pick it up while we're out so we're gonna need to do that and then we're gonna head home hey mom remember my cousin from france francois yeah [Music] it is so good to see olivia i think your your mustache is going the wrong way where did we just go ty hit target we went to target and it was all a blur and we didn't vlog it because it was all the blur what even happened i know how do we just spend that much time in there i'm not sure but it's like 5 30. we had fun right did you have fun that's the most important part yeah look at her crown look at that birthday girl green light gotta go bye all right while danielle and tyler and nana are out shopping we came home stopped at walmart on the way back and we got some party decorations and we're about to make it look crazy up in here right yeah it is very crazy oh no we're not doing that she's 11. i can't believe she's 11. those 11 years have gone by fast i'm just gonna blow them up with my mouth okay [Music] all right so they've been blowing them up so massive like this one here that they are just now randomly exploding all over the place and terrifying everyone but we decided that that's kind of half the fun of this thing oh yeah this is looking nice watch it looking good we're gonna make this look real good poppy's got it [Music] oh look at this poppy's up here you missed the whole twisty doo-dah he had he said twist it up a purple and a pink wrapped it around the top just to give it a little subtlety so you don't see all the tape so much and boom look at this oh yeah look when poppy comes to decorate he doesn't play he's like well man what if you do it like this oh and then do this if you make it even better do this and then do this he's not playing around and this is what you get so call 1-800 poppies parties and more if you want poppy to come and decorate for your next birthday party [Music] i told poppy be careful because if he does it too good danielle is going to be asking him to come back every birthday i feel like i'm in a little wonderland over here in like a princess movie [Music] all right they're here they're here they just pulled in we're gonna surprise [Music] you yeah that's a poppy design original right there oh my goodness oh we designed it daddy what do you think do you like it [Applause] i said poppy you better be careful you're gonna have danielle asked me to come back for everybody's birthday now try and guess what it is before you go to bed it has flowers pressed into it with gordon flakes it's a little haircut mommy and nana picked out our pizza where'd you go ty where's claire's mall we went to into claire you went to a mall to go shopping dude that's [Applause] [Music] these little kitty haircuts i guess that for you yeah that's so nice for you to give everybody a birthday present on your birthday what else tyler got [Music] there's one more presentation lipstick you like lipstick ty you like lipstick oh that's the last thing you wanted wasn't it are you gonna cry there's the knife this one is a fingernail file and a screwdriver there's some tweezers in case you need to pick an eyebrow here or something or if you get a splinter toothpick and then you got some little scissors it's called a swiss army knife remember when i brought them back from mom what do you think pal it changes colors of your emotions yeah oh yeah this pizza reminds me when i was a kid at school and they cut the rectangular slices you know what i mean i'm working with what i got [Music] tyler got some new boots from graham that she is going to display here in just a moment look at me girl supposed to be oh [Music] well guys it is 10 o'clock and we just got everybody down i think the cake late at night was not the best idea ev and adeline were struggling to go to sleep i was in there with them so just a few minutes ago and then i hear the kids upstairs being loud and crazy which it's tyler's birthday so we were letting them hang out and play with the new legos and you know just enjoy the rest of the day i think this will be a birthday that goes down uh in the books for tyler i think she really had a good day and nothing was over the top everything was like yeah even when she went shopping like she didn't get a bunch of stuff she just got some you know a few of the nice things that she really wanted so i think it was just a really good day overall honestly i had a good time with poppy decorating i saw like a new side of him that i had never seen before just getting into to decorating and being such a like big deal to him and he kind of shared with me some that he just really recognized the importance of that now maybe more so than whenever he was raising his own children and so i kind of got to have some conversation with him that was not much but enough to like see a little glimpse into him than we typically do so anyways that was really nice really cool and then danielle and nana got to go out with tyler which was just i'm sure a blast itself so so i've been doing these shopping trips kind of for our kids recently with the older ones and they seem to have been working out really well for us let me know what you guys think about how we've been doing that and if you do that or what you typically will do for your kids especially as they get older
