Husky Temper Tantrum! 📢 Memphis Demands a Warm Lunch

It is another busy and beautiful day with the girls! We started things off with a highly anticipated update on the deli restoration. From the brand-new flooring (round two!) to the fresh blue paint and the arrival of some heavy-duty coolers, things are finally starting to look like a restaurant again. It’s been a long road since the flooding, but we are so excited to show you the progress we’ve made.

After working at the deli, Jamie and I headed out to check on the local dams. With all the recent rain and snowmelt, the water is absolutely roaring! We’ve never seen the gates open quite like this—it sounds like a jet engine and the power of the river is truly incredible. It was a neat way to connect with a bit of family history, too, since Jamie's grandpa used to run these very dams!

Back at home, the huskies were ready for some serious attention. Memphis had a bit of a diva moment and demanded her lunch be warmed up in the microwave (she knows what she likes!), and later, the whole pack got into a "snuggle puddle" on the floor with Jamie. We also dealt with some wild Michigan spring weather—one minute it’s snowing, the next the wind is so strong we thought the dogs might end up in Oz!

🏗️ Giving a long-awaited update on the deli restoration and the new equipment.
🌊 Witnessing the incredible power of the river with the dams wide open.
📢 Listening to Memphis "yell" at us because she wanted her lunch warmed up.
🎨 Announcing the launch of our brand new 3D-printed husky figurines in the Etsy shop.
🧤 Jamie getting trapped in a giant "snuggle puddle" by three very happy huskies.
❄️ Watching a surprise snowstorm roll in and turn everything white in minutes.
🌬️ Brave little Kira facing off against some seriously high winds in the backyard.
🦴 Memphis successfully finishing a bully stick without getting frustrated (for once!).
🐿️ Watching our squirrel friend scavenge for birdseed in the spring snow.
🌙 Catching up with everyone the next morning after a very windy night.
