I have been sitting on this footage for way too long, you guys, but I finally feel ready to share it with all of you. Grab some tissues, because this is officially the very last camping trip we ever took with our sweet senior Siberian Husky, Memphis, before she passed away on June 6th. Right before she left us, we found out she had liver cancer, but our vet gave us the all clear to go do all the adventure things. We packed up and headed to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Muskallonge Lake State Park and Tahquamenon Falls for a few days full of love, water, and pure joy.
Even though videos like this can be emotional, there was no way I wasn't going to share these precious moments with you. Memphis got to yell for her breakfast, dip her paws in her favorite ice cold water at Lake Superior, and walk down the brand new boardwalk at Tahquamenon Falls all on her own. Watching her smile and take in the sights reminded us why our motto means everything: Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
Thank you all so much for loving Memphis as much as we do and for following along on our adventures with Kira and Eleanor. We are forever grateful that she got to experience such a beautiful, happy final trip surrounded by family and nature.
