What a crazy and fun day we had! It was Dan's last day visiting with us, so you know we had to make the absolute most of it and get out in the pool with the dogs again. Eleanor could not wait to get in the water today. She bypassed everything, went straight for the pool, and got herself completely soaked! Kira had a blast hanging out by the pool too and playing with her favorite toys in the yard.
We also had to dodge some intense summer weather rolling through Northern Michigan. Thunderstorms were popping up all over the place, and at one point the sky turned super dark way earlier than it should have. The winds picked up, the lights flickered, and we had loud thunder echoing all across the bay. But we made it back safely from picking up Dan, enjoyed some delicious Kanabees donuts, played some pool basketball, and wrapped up the night making trash enchiladas to use up our leftovers.
Thank you all so much for the sweet gifts, cards, and endless support you send our way. Opening packages is still a bit bittersweet for us, but we appreciate every single bit of love from this community. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
