Huskies Digging on a Critter Search

Good wonderful beautiful morning Pawdience. I think Memphis is trying to tell us something. Are you trying to tell me? Just got up, let the dogs out. I was eating a granola bar, getting ready to... Come back out here and let them in. Turned away for two seconds and oh my gosh, look at your face. What are you doing? What on earth are you doing? So remember the critter hole we showed you yesterday? Memphis quit it! Hey! He's not in there. He's really not in there. Yeah, so the critter hole we showed you yesterday apparently... is really really really fun to dig in. It's like... super great. Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. Hey, oh my gosh, you are so dirty. So dirty. It's... he's not in there. Well, I guess your dad's gonna be thrilled to see that you're trying to help with the... Oh my gosh, stop throwing dirt at her! You're trying to help with the excavation project. This is not helping. You're lucky I love you. Most people would be furious, but all I can do is laugh. Can we go have breakfast? Hey, hey. Well, you got most of the evidence off of your face. There you go. Now I can let you in the house to finish getting all the dirt off of you. All right, it's time. I'm going to start painting all of the edging. If you guys are wondering what color... This... I'll give you the color code and everything in case you like it. This is bear marquee paint from Home Depot. This is called varnished ivory. There's the code if you like the paint and you want to get some mixed on your own. Here we go. I don't think I could be happier with this paint color. Not this paint color. This is... yellow. It's very yellow. Very yellow, but check this out. Oh my gosh, so... Brittany actually helped me finally settle on really choosing this color. I almost changed my mind like six times and before she moved away, she actually came over and we talked about it and she's like, just do it. You're gonna love it. You guys saw this morning, Miss Shelby digging up a storm. You, my dear, have the dirtiest feet. Look at these dirty feet. Look at them. They're dirty as can be. She came in here after having her digging spree and she's pretty much been sleeping on the couch ever since. Yeah, with your dirty feet and your sand, so now we're gonna have to wash the whole couch, but you love that pillow, don't you? She sure does. So Jamie just came in from working outside. It took me a second to realize what you were pointing at. I'm like, oh what? You get new cabinets? And you're just pointing and pointing and smiling and pointing and I'm like, what? What? Is the fridge broke? It can't be the fridge is broke because you're smiling. Or you just did it over there? That's all I've done so far. I've made it that far. Can the camera tell? If you stand over there. I showed them already. Did you? Yeah, I showed them how excited I was. Watch, it's probably wet. Yeah, that looks great. Doesn't that look amazing? When you look here, yeah, and then you look here. This reminds me of that 70's show. Yes, yeah. Or Roseanne. Yes, yeah. I can't wait to get it on this wall. Old 60's. Yeah. Well, remember... We painted it and we pulled all the stuff off the walls over here. And this used to be like a weird off white color. Not that color, but a different color. Do you remember that it was yellow underneath the trim? Yes. It was that color. So, it probably was painted that color in the 60's. That's right, because the... The phone... Yes. Was yellow, yep. Oh, you're awake now? You're good now? You're awake? Yeah, so I can't wait to get this wall painted. But I gotta finish all this edging, which takes forever. Oh, I see it. It's actually green. It was green as well. I found a spot where it was green as well. It's right in that one hole. You can see the... That's the green color inside. Yeah, it was green as well, but it was also yellow. Yay! Doesn't it? Yeah, that will look great once this is all done. I know, alright. I'm glad you taped cabinets. Yeah, I got it everywhere. It's impossible to paint under there without getting it anywhere. Without like a little tiny fine brush. What you think? Alright, I'm gonna keep painting. Yay! So, I'm pretty sure I started this at like... 11 o'clock in the morning. It is now... 3.30 and I have... one coat of all... of the edging done. It took forever. But I was kind of taking my time because I didn't tape... a lot of the stuff. I was kind of just taking my time and doing it. Of course, I took a couple of breaks. I had to go help Jamie in the back. First coat of edging is done. If you look over here and ignore the tape, it looks all nice and finished, doesn't it? Making progress back here too. Jamie's taking a break. Believe it or not, it's only like 45, maybe 50 degrees outside and it's just too hot to be standing out here working in the sun. What you think Miss Shelby Welby? Oh, a squirrel friend over there in the tree? Yeah? Are you ready for lunch? It's your lunch time. Yeah, I know. We just had to come out here and check on this. Now we're gonna go inside and feed you lunch. Sound good? Yeah? Sound good? Memphis is like... No, I gotta check all these things out. Everything's different again. Gotta go check it out. And my hole is gone. So we had to take a little break. Shortly after my last clip. We went out to my sister-in-law's house, Jamie's sister's house for our oldest niece's 21st birthday party. So we went out there and had a little birthday party. We're back home now. It's like 8 o'clock or so. I think I'm gonna tackle this second coat of trim. The trim doesn't... I was looking at it. It's dry now that we're home. It doesn't really, really need the second coat. That's gonna look bad cause I have all the lights off. But... I'm gonna do it because I know there's spots that it's lighter. And it's a little bit darker in here. Even when I did turn the lights on a second ago. I mean it still looked good, but I'm gonna go ahead and tackle the second trim coat. And then tomorrow, I'll be able to do this part. I think I have enough time to get all that done today. You can't have your dinner until Shelby comes back in here. We gotta wait for Shelby to come back in here. She's in her favorite spot. So it'll take her a minute. Memphis is like, I already pooped mom. Well, I know. Are you hungry? You want dinner? Gotta wait for your sister. Sorry. What you think Shelby? It is now midnight. I got all of the trimming done and Jamie pulled the fridge forward so all behind the fridge is done. It's plugged in still. In the morning we'll push all this back. That's all done. He's got the piece that goes there. So, we're gonna finish painting tomorrow. I think we're gonna go ahead and call it a night right here. Because I'm exhausted. What do you think?
