12/30 Saturday morning forecast for western Washington with KING 5 Meteorologist Ashley Ruiz.

We're all looking to you though to see
what the last few days have in store
for us yesterday I think was like a
dream come true for a lot of folks.
But I saw so many people out and
about enjoying the warmer weather.
I saw a lot of shorts and T shirts yesterday.
Might want to pack those
back up for the weekend.
Yeah, I certainly will.
I wouldn't wear a T shirt unless of course
it makes you more comfortable as we
bring in the new year because it will
be cooler but certainly not going
to be downright cold temperatures
will continue to trend above normal.
For a couple of days today,
dodging some showers,
nothing heavy,
but we'll still have some showers out there,
which could dampen some of your plans.
No pun intended.
They're cool and mellow for
our New Year's Eve events.
Always good news and lower snow
levels next week and colder
temperatures next week.
But until then we are going to be
dealing with higher snow levels,
so not looking all too great up
in the Cascades today.
Rain, snow mix,
perhaps a little to no accumulations.
Even with our snow levels coming
down on Sunday and a little a
little higher on New Year's Day.
Still not expecting much in
the way of precipitation,
but next week it's more promising,
but not looking as though it's
going to be anything that will
really really significantly
help with our snow pack.
Here's a look at Snoqualmie Pass
and then Stevens you see the roads
in the middle of the passable.
We have wet roads out there.
A rain and snow mix,
perhaps later in the day,
but snow levels,
as I mentioned,
still going to be about 5500 feet and
temperatures at the surface will be.
Above freezing,
but still a beautiful view from
Leavenworth this morning.
You see beautiful,
some wet roads out there,
but still very festive again.
If you are headed out to the passes,
of course,
dodging some showers,
but still not going to slow anyone
down up in the ski resorts.
But here we have some light rain.
Still not looking all too bad.
Seattle standards looking gorgeous out there.
51 degrees so cooler than where
we were this time yesterday.
Temperatures are not going to come up
all too much throughout the day and
make sure if you have any evening plans.
Tonight just grab the rain jacket.
Nothing heavy, however,
throughout the day.
Today you just see a passing green.
You see that means rain.
Meanwhile,
up in the mountains,
Stevens Pass could,
as I mentioned,
some rain and maybe some grapple as
well as some snow showers in the mix.
Little to no accumulations,
but then we get to Sunday morning.
Some drizzle drying things out
ringing in the new year.
We're dry,
however there could be some areas of
fog overnight and into our New Year's
Day morning. So here's a look.
A closer look to our New Year's Eve
forecast temperatures in the 40s.
By midnight about 42 degrees.
So overall behaving for the Seahawks game.
And of course,
as we ring in the new year and for
the Kraken looking fine, no rain.
The rain chances will start to come up next week.
