Plan on some lingering showers for the morning commute.
The 22 News Storm Team forecast
>> and time now is 5:14. We're taking a
live look out in Westfield for right
now. The rain falling and of course the
roads looking very wet here. Also,
Greenfield. You can see some of the rain
droplets on the camera lens. So, we
haven't seen some steady rain since
around midnight. Uh the rain is going to
start to move on out of here over the
next few hours. And by the afternoon
today, it's going to be completely dry
and the sun will be out. So, if you do
have any afternoon plans for today, uh
it looks pretty nice. Uh, but we got a
light breeze out there for now.
Temperature up and down the valley in
the 50s. Some upper 40s and low 50s back
in the Birkshars. And going throughout
the rest of the day here, 6:00 a.m. 50s
in the valley, 40s and 50s in the
Birkshars. By 9:00 a.m., we're climbing
through the 50s. And by noon, 12:00,
we're in the low 60s out there for many
of us. And we'll likely stay in the low
to mid60s come the middle of the
afternoon today. Yeah, I think many of
us were between 62 to 64 65°. Uh back in
the Birkshire, a little cooler though,
many of us in the 50s there. Heading
into the evening, we'll fall back slowly
through the 50s and eventually bottom
out in the 30s and 40s uh by tomorrow
morning. So, taking a live look out in
Springfield for now. Again, some light
rain is continuing to fall. We're going
to hold on to some a uh morning showers
and then eventually dry things out and
clear things out. And I do think we'll
see some sun for the afternoon. It will
turn a little breezy and that's the top
of the 20-day Storm Team forecast focus.
Cooler temperatures on the way for
tomorrow and into the weekend and we'll
be dry and brisk for both days on
Saturday and also on Sunday. The 20day
storm team temperature track here are
going to be seeing below average
temperatures over the next few days. The
average high 61 this time of year will
be 58 tomorrow, also on Friday, 56 the
high temperature on Saturday and we look
to stay in the 50s heading through much
of next week. So, for right now, you can
see we do have some rain that is falling
for many of us. The heaviest of the rain
is off here in Orange down through New
Salem and heading off to the east. But
zooming in here into Hamen County, the
lower valley, excuse me. We are going to
be dealing with um some of that steadier
shower activity again that is pushing
off to the east now. And uh you can see
behind us to the west, there's not
really much going on. So, this is the
cold front that's going to deliver some
of this cooler air over the next few
days. And behind it, there's a couple
sprinkles and showers. So, can't rule
out the chance for a pop-up shower or
two between now and noon. But once this
gets out of here, notice after 7:00
a.m., it's not a lot popping up. And in
fact, we start to clear things out. And
by the afternoon, 3:00 p.m., it's really
nothing but sun with a few passing
clouds. And we do stay pretty quiet
through the evening and into the uh
overnight. So, in terms of the wind,
it's light out there this morning, but
notice as time goes on towards the
afternoon, the wind does pick up. And by
3:00 here, we're gusting around 20 25
miles per hour. So, by the afternoon
today, the sun will be out, but it'll be
breezy. And temperatures will noticeably
start to fall and give way to some
cooler air over the next few days. 62 to
66 out there for today, falling back
into the 30s and 40s for tonight. Some
scattered clouds for the rest of the
20th Storm Team 7-day forecast. Very
cool heading into the last weekend of
October. will be in the 50s and the
overnight low temperatures staying
mostly in the 30s.
