On Memorial Day, Monday, there will be the chance for showers in the morning then things will be drying out for the second half of the day and we may see some sunshine.
and now the 22 news storm team forecast. Good morning. I'm storm team
meteorologist Alexa Bianco forecast focus for today. We'll continue to see
some of that morning rain and then we're going to have some afternoon sun
for Memorial Day. So your second half of your holiday is going to be okay. And
then eighties midweek starting off tomorrow saturday. We do have a rain
chance once again and then sunday looking dry so far but clouds and
right now you can see that those showers that continue to come through.
It's pretty scattered though, but a little bit of a low period at the
moment, nothing too heavy coming down but could still see some isolated
pockets of heavy rain. We still have those showers from the west of us
coming from new york, but that work that's eventually going to clear out as
you get through the rest of the day. So eight a.m. This morning again, we're
gonna have the next round of heavy rain coming through, but that's going to
clear out pretty quickly because the rest of the afternoon it's looking
pretty good. So we're gonna see mainly sunny skies by three o'clock and even
towards sunset looking dry and also bright and then heading to overnight
hours, mainly clear as well. And the clouds are looking pretty minimal for
Tuesday. So we're gonna be seeing a good amount of sunshine for Tuesday,
brightest day of the week, I would say so far and also one of the warmest and
then heading to the overnight hours, partly cloudy and then we're gonna have
those cloud coverage increase as we get into six a.m. On Wednesday morning and
we do have a shower chance possible on Wednesday. But the rain has been
beneficial because we have a drought monitor here and we've been seeing dry
conditions and we are in a moderate drought for most of the valley here. So
from Springfield to Greenfield, we're in a moderate drought and yes, this is
not been updated yet just yet. So from what we had this past weekend should be
interesting to see what this in turns out to be on Thursday when this does
update. But most of New England here is just seeing overall dry conditions
across the board here or in drought condition. High temperatures today
gonna be on the warm side. So you have temperatures getting into the upper
seventies, say 74 in Great Barrington, 77 in Springfield, North Hampton,
Westfield, 74 orange and 75 in Greenfield. Then tomorrow we warm up
even more, getting into the mid eighties, 86 in Springfield, 85 in
Westfield in North Hampton, 83 orange and 80 in Pittsfield. So a nice warm
day ahead for tomorrow. The warming trend will continue as we get into the
summer months, especially meteorological summer starts on June
1st and that is not far away whatsoever. So warmer, trending a lot
warmer on the West Coast, more neutral for the Midwest and then from the
southeast to the northeast. We're still trending warmer, nothing too above
average, but our average high in the middle of July is around the mid
eighties. So that means we could actually get close to 90 degrees in
some of these days. But right now we're just trending slightly above normal,
heading into June, July and August. All in all, your Memorial Day forecast. We
have the morning rain we have at the afternoon sun. Most areas gonna be in
the mid upper seventies. And then tonight we have loads 50 56 and mostly
clear. And here is the storm team. Seven day forecast. We have a lot of
warm temperatures heading into this week, which is pretty nice. But we're
definitely going to see the temperatures get pretty good as we get
into tomorrow in the eighties and then that's gonna look overall nice. But as
we get into friday and saturday, we do have some rain chances, especially
thursday into friday and also into saturday morning. And then we do start
to see some scattered showers on sunday, but for the most part, looking
overall pretty good. Stay up to date with the forecast on twenties app.
