Hello everyone, it's me again, Doro.
Today we're making these super delicious
herb cream cheese rolls.
I made cream cheese frosting
on the weekend, and I had a little
cream cheese left over, and I always try not to
throw anything away, but to somehow
reuse everything. And that's what
these wonderful rolls are made of.
We start by
mixing the dry ingredients.
The baking powder
makes the dough super fluffy,
but the rolls don't have to go
through a sieve. Very practical.
In a second bowl,
I mix the cream cheese
with the milk.
You can also use quark instead of cream cheese,
but then you don't need
to mix the milk until smooth.
Now we start
seasoning. I chose
four different herbs here.
They're all frozen and dried.
Let's start with the chives.
The reason for this is that they stay nice and green
while baking, whereas fresh herbs
tend to turn a little yellow.
We don't want that, of course.
Parsley is the next one.
I have it at home, and I like
these herbs. If you want,
you can season it in a different way,
for example with Mediterranean, thyme, oregano,
a little rosemary. Or if you like it
spicy, you can add a little chili.
This is lovage.
It looks like matcha powder,
but it's lovage, also known as
Maggi herb.
And garlic.
A little salt,
and then we mix it all up.
Now we just have to
mix the wet and dry ingredients
and then we're almost done.
I can't get any further with the
dough hook. My hands have to
get to it.
Our dough is done.
To make it easier to portion,
I'm going to roll a roll and divide it into six
equal-sized pieces, my rolls.
Now I'm going to roll six balls
and put them on my baking sheet.
I'm going to cut each roll
in half, so they don't
tear apart on the side.
You can also
cut them crosswise, it always looks
very nice.
Before baking, we coat the rolls
with a mixture of protein
and oil.
Then they become
super crispy.
And I'm going to add a little chives.
To finish it off,
I'm going to add a little sesame
and sprinkle it over my rolls.
If you want,
you can also use sunflower seeds,
pumpkin seeds, or chopped nuts,
whichever you like.
Our rolls are now
going into the preheated oven
at 200°C top and bottom
for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Thank you!
Hey, there are only five in there!
They were so delicious!
Unbelievable!
But it's true, they are so delicious!
And above all, they taste like this!
Of course, the best way to eat them
is as a sandwich,
but they also taste so delicious!
Mmm, awesome!
It actually tastes like herb baguette!
Delicious!
So try it out!
They're super quick, perfect for a
sunny breakfast, I think, for the salty part.
Add a croissant, a little jam,
a little egg, mmm!
So enjoy your meal, have a nice Sunday
and see you soon! Bye!
