Insider drops BOMBSHELL Raiders Trade Update...

In March of 2026, Max Crosby was traded.
Two first round picks, done deal, he was headed to Baltimore.
Then at the last minute, the Ravens backed out and reports tied it
to his knee and a failed physical and he stayed a Raider.
He had surgery on a torn meniscus in January
and ESPN reported people around the Raiders
and around Crosby weren't buying that the knee was the only reason.
And that's a kind of...
It's a tough situation to be in.
I mean, Crosby gets traded,
and then he has to come back to the team
that just tried to trade him.
And now you bring it to today.
The trade deadline is eight days away,
and the reports on his future just continue to drop.
And in the same week that Ashen Gentry
called out through the media the Jets
and then barely touched the ball,
the Raiders still won the game,
but there is a lot going on with this team.
I saw you guys flooding the comments
of the last video asking why Ashton Gentry barely
touched the ball, why we're still talking
about trading Max Crosby, and a lot of people
do actually want him traded,
and we're going to get into all of that in this video.
So here's what Adam Schefter reported early on Sunday.
Unlike last year, where Crosby openly wondered about his future,
this year he stated that
he does not want to go anywhere,
and by multiple reports and some speculation, the Raiders
currently have no plans of trading him.
Although you have to remember all the way back
to exactly at this time last year
where there was a report that said the Raiders met with Crosby
just to tell him that they were not shopping or trading him
and even then the noise was very loud
and they ended up literally trading him.
Now there's multiple new reports that Crosby wants to be a Raider.
He has no desire to leave and he is not forcing his way out whatsoever.
And Max Crosby himself has been saying since the summer
when the Cowboys rumor started in July,
he said it doesn't change anything for him.
And he was just being honest.
He said he was going to show up, put his head down and get to work.
Now, a week before all of this,
Adam Schefter was on the Pat McAfee show
and he said that the trade talks revolving around Crosby
had quieted down a little bit.
They lost a little bit of steam.
And now he's saying that there's no plans at all
and that the story is cooling off in real time right now.
But you have to look at it from the other perspective as well.
GM John Spitek said that they are sure
to get calls over the next 10 days as we head
towards the trade deadline.
And we know teams are at least calling on Crosby.
On CBS, Pete Prisco said that he would call
the Raiders about Crosby for the Cowboys.
Dallas just lost to Arizona in overtime.
So of course, they're going to be a team calling.
They're kind of desperate.
But what's the price?
That is a huge question right now, too.
That's the thing about Crosby too.
Every single contender that has a bit of a pass rush problem
is going to be making the call on Max Crosby every single year.
Now let's talk about the price.
Back in March, Baltimore agreed
to give up two first-round picks for Max Crosby.
That is the bar that the Raiders have basically set internally.
Now, anybody calling this week has to start there,
really, for a trade to go through from
the Raiders' perspective,
but I just don't know if the trade market is there anymore.
And good news for the people that don't want Max Crosby traded,
a phone ringing doesn't
mean that a trade is going to go through.
They're just calling on the player.
Max Crosby has stated his desire to stay a Raider.
He does not want to be moved.
Now, before we get into some other updates
and how this Max Crosby thing continues to get crazier,
and of course, we got to talk about Ash and Gentry.
Stay tuned for that later in the video.

We just hit over 2,000 subscribers

Thank you so much for the support, everybody,
and let's get back into the video.
Now, a lot of people are saying, why would a team that tried
to trade him earlier this year in March keep him now?
Now, let's start with the standings.
With that win over the Jets yesterday,
the Raiders are now 4-4 on the season,
and they're only two games back of Denver in the AFC West.
Kansas City is 5-2, and the Chargers are 0-7.
There's a real race for the top of this division right now,
and the Raiders are right there in and around it.
And I said it on the channel before, this game against the Jets
was going to have serious implications on what they do in the future,
and this is not a team that needs to go selling right now.
And let's be honest, the defense is atrocious.
They need him more now than ever.
On Sunday, the Jets ran for 166 yards against the Raiders,
and Braylon Allen had 147 of them by himself.
Take Crosby out of the equation there,
and I know we're building a great young team here,
but that gets a lot worse immediately.
And Crosby, while having a slow start
to this season compared to his career averages,
he has three sacks this season,
and it's tied for the most on the team.
He also has four tackles for a loss, and that is third on the team,
only behind Quay Walker and N'Kobe Dean.
And against the Jets, he got his first sack since week four
on the third down right before halftime.
And he's playing more downhill.
Over his last five games, he's making 3.4 tackles a game.
Before that, it was 1.7.
So he's doubled it since.
He's also chasing history as a Las Vegas Raider.
He already passed Michael Huff for fourth
in Raiders history in total sacks,
and he's 16 tackles away from passing Tavon Branch for third.
At the pace he's currently playing, that's about four games.
This guy is chasing franchise records.
He said that he does want to be here.
A lot of people can talk about the knee,
the injury, all that type of stuff.
He wants to be here. He's the face of this franchise right now.
And they're not playing that bad.
Well, the defense is not great.
But anyway, then there's the money we got to talk about, right?
The Raiders are $6.4 million over
the cap right now at the time that I'm making this
video, at least in Crosby's cap hit is $35.8 million this year.
Then it drops to $29.8 million next year.
It continues to drop $27.3 million in 2028, $28.2 million in 2029.
He's under contract through the quote unquote rebuild
and not on his way out of it.
And moving him mid-season is not as easy as it would have
been like back in March when they did try to trade him.
And any team that's taking on that number has to make it fit right now.
Of course, where there's a will, there's a way. You can make it happen.
But that would be the Raiders selling their best defender
on a team that is horrible defensively
while they're two games out in the middle of the season.
So what we know on November 2nd is that the phone keeps ringing.
SpyTech is definitely listening too.
Offers, I think that the asking price is the same.
I think that the price that teams are willing to pay has changed.
Max Crosby is still a Raider on November 2nd,
and he said he doesn't want to go anywhere.
Now, let's get into a very interesting story,
because there was a little bit of cleanup being played
after the game in the press conference.
For you guys to understand this,
if you've been living under a rock the last week,
let's go back to Wednesday.
Ashton Gentry was asked about the Jets' defense,
and he said there's a couple guys out there
that don't really like to tackle.
He didn't name anyone specifically, but that quickly made
the rounds around the NFL and certainly made the rounds with the Jets.
The Jets defensive coordinator, Brian Duker, said that he saw
the comments and that he's got plenty of confidence in his guys.
Minka Fitzpatrick was asked if he was surprised
a young player would say that, and he said, no, not at all.
And on the channel, I've said it before, I like this type of stuff.
I think there's a lot of this lacking in sports these days.
Then during the game, Rex Ryan went on ESPN
and called him about the worst draft pick
in the last 20 years,
which is wild because Ashton Gentry was the sixth pick in the 2025
draft.
And as a rookie, he ran for 975 yards.
That's the 10th most by a Raider in a season since 1999.
And then Sunday comes around.
It's the Raiders and the Jets.
And in the first quarter,
the Raiders gave their running back six touches and Mike Washington
got all six of them.
Gentry got zero.
In fact, his first touch
of the game didn't actually come until six minutes left in the
second quarter, and it was a 15-yard catch.
With eight minutes left in the third quarter,
he still just had one carry.
And by the end of this game, Gentry had two carries for nine yards.
And Mike Washington, on the other side, had 25 carries.
So as soon as the game ended, everyone
on social media was talking about it.
I mentioned it in my video yesterday about...
Could this be a punishment?
He talks trash on Wednesday.
He disappears on Sunday.
They're not using him.
Was it something where the coaching staff was punishing this player
and making an example
out of him?
Well, we know the coaching staff isn't going to come out
and outright say that, but head
coach Clint Kubiak did say this after the game.
He said, quote, that's my call
and Ashton's still going to be a big part of our team.
And he said that Gentry's comments about
the Jets didn't factor into that decision at all.
His reasoning for it was simple, that he just wanted
to give Mike Washington a few more opportunities today.
Now, I don't necessarily buy that, but of course,
they're not going to come out and say that that's what happened.
He also didn't stop there, though.
He said that Gentry had a huge catch,
and that he's going to be a huge part of the run game moving forward,
and that both backs are going to be a huge part
of this offense moving forward.
And you can kind of see the game plan from the first quarter.
You know, Mike Washington on early downs,
Gentry was on third down in passing plays,
But again, let me know in the comments, do you actually?
Actually, by what he's saying here,
is it just like a PR answer and damage control?
Look at these numbers heading into yesterday's game.
Gentry was averaging 3.1 yards a carry, and Washington was at 4.9.
And coming into the game,
the Raiders were 31st in the league in rushing at 74.7 yards a game.
When the run game is that bad,
I guess you got to try to shake something up.
But again, I don't know if I necessarily buy it, but...
The numbers do back it up.
Also, keep in mind, it didn't magically fix the run game.
The Raiders ran it 33 times for 95 yards.
That's under three yards a carry.
They won for one simple reason in my eyes, at least.
And let me know if you feel any differently.
Kirk Cousins and Brock Bowers.
Those two guys carried the offense and, you know.
It wasn't because of the run game.
Certainly wasn't because of the defense.
Cousins went 19 of 26, 247 yards and three touchdowns.
Bowers had seven catches, 92 yards and two touchdowns.
So those two guys carried.
And when you look at the other side, again, at Ashton Gentry,
he also spoke out and said that he, you know,
it was communicated to him before the game.
And that he would get fewer carries.
He went on to say, we won.
It doesn't matter how I feel about how many times I get the ball.
Whatever it takes for the team to win, I just want to win.
And he still made it count.
Three catches for 64 yards,
including a 45-yard catch in the fourth quarter.
So, you guys let me know in the comments.
Is that a guy who's in the doghouse right now?
Or is that a guy that's being used
as a very particular weapon in the offense right now?
He's also still the team's leading rusher this season with 337 yards.
Washington is right behind him with 278,
and he's a rookie, so that is a very good two-back room.
Nobody's really talking about
this either, but over his last five games,
Jenty is averaging 55.8 yards a game, and before that it was 32.3.
So if you look at some of the analytics, some of the statistics,
maybe they aren't taking the ball away from him.
They're just putting him and using him as a very particular weapon
and putting him where he's actually winning and,
you know, has the best chance to succeed.
So, to recap, Max Crosby does not want to go anywhere.
It doesn't sound like they're necessarily shopping him,
but that doesn't mean teams aren't calling on him.
And for the Raiders, that means that the plan
is to continue to try to win games
despite their defense and not tear it down at the deadline.
It was revealed that Jenty, in fact, wasn't punished.
Now, everyone can believe what they want to believe.
Let me know how you feel about that in the comments.
But, you know, they looked great and the Raiders won.
The interesting thing to watch now is,
does Washington continue to keep getting those early downs?
How they utilize Jenty heading into next week as well?
Is this like a new normal? Is this something they're going to continue?
And if it does continue and Jenty continues
to get over 50 yards a game catching the ball,
maybe that's the best version of this offense anyway.
Maybe that's something that they just continue to try doing.
But I want to hear from you guys too on this specifically.
Let me know, who should get the early down carries?
Who should get the majority of the ball?
Is it Washington? Is it Jenty?
I've seen some split reviews out there on social media, too.
But guys, let me know how you feel in the comments below.
My name is Darius Dominguez.
This is Raiders Digest, and I'll see you in the next video.
