NFL insiders drops BOMBSHELL Raiders trade report....
1 Video View·Oct 30, 2026
In March, the Raiders traded Max Crosby.
It was done.
Two first round picks agreed by both teams.
And just a few days later,
he was back in Las Vegas like nothing ever happened.
Now it's October.
The Raiders started the season 3-0 and they've now lost four in a row.
The 49ers have reportedly called on him
and according to Cowboys Digest,
Yes, the Cowboys have also put in a call and have offered a first.
And allegedly a second round pick for Max Crosby.
That obviously is less than Baltimore's original offer in March.
So the biggest question right now is,
is Crosby's price continuing to drop?
And is this a deal that you think that the Raiders should even make?
So let's go back to February.
At the Combine, GM John Spitek was asked
if he expected Crosby to be a Raider this season.
And his answer was, yes, I do.
Just 10 days after that.
On March 6th, the Raiders and the Ravens agreed on the deal.
Crosby for the 14th pick in 2026 and a 2027 first.
And before we get more into the story and these new reports,
my name is Darius Dominguez.
This is Raiders Digest.
And guys, if you have not yet, make sure to hit that subscribe button.
I'm going to be bringing you guys daily updates
on the Raiders every single day.
And we just passed 2,000 subscribers.
We're now on the road to 3K.
And thank you so much for all the support along the way.
Here's the catch and why that fell through.
On January 7th, Max Crosby had surgery to repair
a torn meniscus in his left knee.
He missed the last two games of last season. On March 10th,
he took his physical in Baltimore
and that night the Raiders announced the Ravens have backed out
of the deal. The worry for the Ravens, according to ESPN,
wasn't this season specifically. It was
a long-term issue and that it could hurt
his durability in a couple of years down the road.
Oh, and the very next.
day, Baltimore gave Trey Hendrickson four years
and $112 million instead. And from the Raiders
point of view, they never fully bought it.
ESPN sources close to the Raiders and Crosby doubted
the knee was the only reason.
And because Baltimore already had the physical information
before the deal happened.
Now, Crosby could have been bitter and he could have handled this.
Quite poorly, but instead he went on to post this.
Quote, everything happens for a reason.
I'm a Raider.
I'm back.
Later, he told ESPN, quote, I'm meant to be a Raider.
I want to be the face of winning.
And this summer, he was quoted
on the entire situation saying it's water under the bridge.
I'm here and I want to be here.
That is a guy who got traded,
got sent back to the Raiders and chose to be here anyway.
Most players would have then just asked out
or maybe it would have got a little bit messy.
And for three weeks, it looked like it was absolutely the right call.
The Raiders to open the season beat Miami
and then the Chargers on the road and then
the Saints on the road and started three and oh.
Then it slowly started to fall apart,
a three-point loss to Kansas City, a 45-17 beating in New
England, three points against Buffalo, and then the Rams game.
In the four losses,
the defense gave up a combined 35.7 points per game.
And three of those four losses, by the way, came at home.
The Raiders are only 1-3 at Allegiant Stadium this year.
And Crosby?
He has two sacks through seven games,
and that is the slowest start of his entire career.
And for a guy with 71 and a half career sacks since 2019,
including 14 and a half in 2023
and 10 last season, those numbers definitely stick out.
So I see the take online sometimes, hey, sell him now.
Before everyone notices that he's starting to slip.
Except the sack numbers are lying to you
if you're just looking at the numbers.
Crosby has 37 pressures this year.
That's 4th out of 113...
edge rushers per PFF against Buffalo he got chipped
or double teamed 16 times and that's
the most he's seen all year
and he's one of the best defensive players in the league teams aren't
sleeping on him they are game planning specifically
their whole offense around him and Crosby has
heard the noise and he responded
and here's exactly what he said to the doubters quote
if you want to be negative and not believe then stay over there
Because when it does turn, all those people just disappear
and then they come back when it's convenient.
And he spoke out on his podcast,
The Rush, after the fourth straight loss.
And he said, quote, I want to win more than anybody on the planet.
The storm never lasts forever.
We got to keep pushing.
That's your captain, three and four,
still talking like a guy who wants to be here.
But while he's saying all of that,
and the entire backstory that we know to this point,
the head coach is saying this.
Clint Kubiak spoke out on the trade deadline
that is very fast approaching,
and he said, quote,
We're talking every day about those things,
especially this close to the deadline.
You're talking about many different scenarios.
Now, to be fair, he wasn't asked directly about Max Crosby by name,
but you don't say many scenarios when the phone isn't ringing on.
guys like Max Crosby. Let's start with San Francisco.
The 49ers reportedly called on
Crosby's availability. It does make sense from their point of view.
Nick Bosa tore his ACL so
did their young edge rusher Mackell Williams.
Their pass rush is held together with duct tape. Here's
the wild part that really nobody's talking about.
The Raiders actually play the 49ers on November
8th. The deadline is on November 10th. That is two days later.
In this scenario, Crosby could play against them on that Sunday
and then be wearing a 49ers jersey
by Tuesday. And this isn't relatively new either.
Back in July, a reported framework the 49ers
talked about, their 2027 first round pick,
a 2028 second, and Mackell Williams for Max Crosby.
Williams, of course, has since torn his ACL,
like I mentioned, so whatever San Francisco offers now,
That piece specifically is gone.
And then there's Dallas.
And I was talking to Jace over on Cowboys Digest,
and he mentioned that, you know,
there is some speculation that the Cowboys
do have interest in Max Crosby,
and the offer right now would be a first
and a second round pick.
Now, that's not necessarily new.
Adam Schefter reported that Dallas was willing
to give a first and a second back in March,
but the Raiders obviously took the better deal
from Baltimore with those two first round picks.
So...
Dallas, right now, is actually offering the same thing
the Raiders have already said no to earlier this year.
And one of the names that was allegedly
in Dallas' March package has since been traded to the 49ers,
and the two teams calling about Crosby already did
a deal with each other.
And for what it's worth in talking about speculation and rumors,
it has been predicted by many that on Thursday...
The Cowboys will get Crosby before the deadline.
And just a few days earlier on Monday of this week,
Adam Schefter said this.
Trade talks surrounding Max Crosby have lost a little bit of steam.
I just don't think they're getting two firsts.
So on Monday, it was reported that they
were pretty much never going to get what they initially
got from the Ravens if they are still to trade Max Crosby.
But then.
Thursday happened. The Bears traded two first round picks and a fourth
to the Titans for Jeffrey Simmons, a defensive tackle 29 years old
on a team that's one and six, and he still got two firsts.
Now, to be fair, Simmons has had a better first seven games
of the season, four sacks, six tackles, four loss.
Crosby has two and three.
But you also have to look at the money.
Simmons' cap hit jumps to $31.6 million next year
and $35 million in 2028.
And Crosby's actually goes down to $29.8 million, then $27.3 million.
So in comparison, the Bears paid two firsts
for the more expensive player in terms of salary coming
back the other way. And Tennessee's GM actually came out
and said that he took 50 calls on Simmons
and that's what a market for a star pass rusher looks like right now.
Also remember, Simmons was
on a team that's one and six with nothing to play for.
The Raiders are only three and four,
one game under 500, and they don't actually have to sell any.
But James Ramsey was saying
Crosby stock could potentially be back on the rise.
And there's been some talks with other NFL GMs
who said that the Raiders will want at
least two first round picks and quote,
I don't think they take less than that.
So I don't know.
The market has certainly shifted a little bit,
but there is the big question of whether
the Raiders end up blanking.
Here's what kind of bugs me about the Cowboys offer
or reported offer or speculated off.
Dallas doesn't even have their own 2027.
first round pick. It belongs to the Jets.
The first they'd be sending over is Green Bays
from the Micah Parsons trade. And remember what Parsons got?
Dallas, Kenny Clark, and two first
round picks. And Spytek has come out himself
and said that the asking price for Crosby is still
high and that teams are hesitant to meet it.
So Dallas got two firsts for its pass rusher and
wants to pay one for ours, who is one of the best in the NFL.
I say no thanks.
Crosby has also signed through 2029,
his cap hit drops from 35.8 million this year to 29.8 million
next year. And you're not losing him in free agency or anything,
there really is no pressure
right now, depending how the next couple of games go,
to sell him at a discounted price,
but that's the thing, it's how the next couple of games go,
and the trade deadline is coming up
pretty soon.
And even Adam Schefter said it,
you don't want to sell off the heart and soul of your team,
the face of your franchise.
Now, if you go on social media or just talk to most Raiders fans
in person, they don't want him gone. So here's the thing.
If someone does give you an offer for
two first, which is the same offer that the Ravens gave
and what Chicago just did for Simmons,
you definitely listen. You pick up the phone. That is.
the market that's what we're talking here right
but a first and a second and a team that is still
just three and four you taking a discount on a deal
that already died once i don't know if that
really makes sense i think you want to keep one
of the best players in his position and sunday's game
against the jets really matters
because if you win this whole conversation really quiets down
they might make a couple moves all the smaller moves
at the trade deadline but a lot of this
A lot of this will quiet down, but if you lose,
that 49ers game might end up being
the most awkward audition in football history you have
a guy in crosby who's going to be rushing
that quarterback and then just two days later
he may be playing on the same team with that quarterback
with the 49ers but guys let me know
in the comments how you feel and i think i know
what i'm going to see i think i'm going to see
most people saying keep but would you trade crosby for a first
and a second comment keep
or trade let me know how you feel down below
the last time they tried to trade him it was a pretty
good return but that fell through
and i just don't see a world where it makes sense to take less than
that right now especially with where this team
is at but guys let me know how you feel in the
comments below my name is Darius Dominguez this is Raiders Digest
and i'll see you in the next
