What's going on with the radar?
Because again, I think it's a good representation
of what we're going to experience into tomorrow as well.
You see this light rain, little band of it pushing in from the west.
So West Bend, Waukesha, you know what I'm talking about.
You're just about on the edge of it, Waukesha.
Now, then there's a break. So this is moving
into Milwaukee to move through pretty quick.
And again, light is the key word here.
Then some more rain showers west of Madison.
So it'll be the on and off variety as we go throughout the night.
Now, this storm system bringing quite a bit of rain up to the north,
and this batch near La Crosse, see how it's moving northeast.
So a lot of that's going to impact areas up to our north.
They really need it.
There is a significant drought going on in far northern Wisconsin,
so they are really welcoming that rain.
Again, for us, it is going to be more of the on and off variety here
as we're heading into the evening rush.
And, yep, a lot of brake lights here
as we're looking towards the Marquette Interchange.
58 degrees, that's our current temperature.
The wind picking up.
Out of the south, 2.55.
So that means there's a lot of moisture in the air.
That also means that we're going
to stay pretty mild throughout the night.
I wouldn't be surprised if we have low 60s
for dew points around here tomorrow.
And that might even fire off a thunderstorm
or two as we go into the afternoon or evening, which we'll talk about.
Air pressure, that's really dropped from when we talked last night.
And that's continuing to fall.
That's because low pressure is coming on in.
So temperatures in the 50s now, we're actually going
to go up a little bit overnight tonight to around 60.
So we will rise just a little bit in the temperature department.
But here's what's going on.
So we have the area of low pressure, one of them,
up near Minnesota and the Dakotas right now.
So you see all the rain around here.
Then as you get down the cold front, as we head towards Oklahoma,
storms are starting to fire down there.
Some of those are severe with winter weather on the backside,
by the way, out into Colorado.
But we often talk about waves of low pressure, right?
It's not just about the fronts that you see,
but it's about waves in the atmosphere like waves on an ocean.
And there is a wave coming through.
Oklahoma. That's going to swing up in our direction tomorrow,
and that's why our rain
chances get higher by Election Day afternoon and evening.
So let's talk about this with Sky Vision
Plus. Let's take a look here. I'll show you what I mean.
Hour by hour here as we go throughout the
night. Again, the light variety,
the steadier rains staying to the northwest of Madison might
just clip ripping in parts of Fond du Lac County.
But again, scattered light rain around here this
This evening, not a big deal.
As we go through the overnight,
the rain picks up again, mainly off to our west.
I mean, look at this.
Not a ton of rain for us.
Just some scattered light rain showers,
gusty southerly winds throughout the night.
Election Day morning, drizzle.
So it'll be a little drizzly.
Temperature's around 60.
But again, not a big deal.
By the afternoon, as we see that wave energy come in from the south,
it's going to lift the air up more.
And that's going to mean steadier showers and maybe a few non-severe.
thunderstorms coming through as well.
This is 4 p.m. windy conditions with the rain coming on
through. Here's 5 o'clock. Then we go into the evening.
Again, scattered showers, maybe a rumble
of thunder into the evening.
And then it continues into Wednesday morning, mainly rain showers
Wednesday morning and then drying out Wednesday afternoon.
So how much rain? Well, check this out.
Not a ton of rain in southeastern Wisconsin.
In fact, we may see less than a half an inch in most areas,
but far western communities may get more depending
on those bands farther off to the west.
So again, not expecting a ton of rain,
and it's going to be of the scattered variety.
67 tomorrow, 63 on Wednesday, and then more light rain Thursday.
Look at the cool down here, 49 for a high by Sunday.
Welcome to November.
