Like we're running for office.
Look at us, folks.
I mean, nobody will vote for me.
Maybe John.
A mighty dapper.
Maybe we'll get a couple votes, right?
A couple votes.
And we're going to talk about the Election Day forecast,
obviously, weather.
Not an issue tomorrow, so get out there and vote.
Let's take a look at what's going on, Eric,
as we continue to monitor the situation.
Folks, have you been enjoying this fabulous weather?
I mean, this is day 17 consecutively without any rainfall
at Newark Airport.
Simply amazing.
Spring-like weather continues the entire week.
Today, it felt like mid-May.
And then Thursday and Friday, there's that scattered chance of showers.
And the reason why it's been so high and dry,
don't thank your local weather people, thank what you can,
is an area of high pressure located off the coast.
And that area of high pressure is giving us southwesterly wind.
It is going to be warm tomorrow, Wednesday,
as we said, into Thursday and Friday.
And in time, this system will slowly break down,
allow for a stationary front to develop over the region.
And that could be a focus mechanism
for scattered showers to ride up that front.
Let's say later Thursday afternoon, evening, and into Friday morning.
If that does occur, it will be 19 consecutive days.
That would be Wednesday, the dry day, without rainfall in this region.
All right, let's take a look at the forecast for your election day.
Folks, it does not get better than this.
No reason not to get out there and vote.
The weather will cooperate.
Temperatures getting into the lower 70s.
The morning hours through the evening hours,
the polls will be obviously open throughout the region.
A future cast for this evening.
A nice evening. Temperatures dropping back into the 50s.
Overnight tonight, not as cold as recent nights.
Temperatures falling back probably into the upper 30s,
lower to mid 40s throughout the region.
Tuesday, we do it all over again.
Tack on a couple more degrees of the thermometer.
We're going to get up into the lower 70s.
And for Wednesday, ditto on that,
probably getting up to 74 degrees in the urban area.
So delightful the next couple of days around here.
The commute forecast for your Tuesday,
40s to 50s for the morning hours, PM commute.
We're going to be in the lower 70s, then dropping into the 60s.
Our 10-day forecast here on News 12.
Get out there and enjoy.
Election Day, 72 degrees, mostly sunny skies.
Wednesday, the mid-70s, mostly sunny.
A bit of a change Thursday into Friday with scattered showers,
temperatures dropping into the upper 60s.
Eric.
