The candidates in the Senate race pounded the pavement today.
Their mission is to get all the support they can
to get people out to the polls tomorrow.
Democrat incumbent Senator John Ossoff had
a rally in DeKalb County this afternoon.
Republican challenger Mike Collins made stops
at Republican offices around the state.
Fox 5's Rob DiRienzo at the live desk tonight
to break down the final moments in this race.
Well, Courtney, Tom, both Congressman Mike Collins and Senator John
Ossoff are hoping to make every last second of this race count.
Ossoff held a commanding lead in recent polls,
while Collins says a vote for his opponent is a vote for socialism.
29 hours.
Down to the wire in the race
to become Georgia's next United States Senator.
This race is close. All the races are close. I need your help.
Congressman Mike Collins started
his election even Buckhead at the Georgia Republican Party
headquarters. Democratic incumbent Senator
John Ossoff rallied voters in DeKalb County.
Let's win these races decisively.
Let's turn the page on this dark chapter
in our nation's history.
It's the last 24 hours of this race.
We've been clipping 2,000 miles a week for over a month.
More than 2.8 million Georgia voters have already cast
their ballots during early voting, breaking state records.
Ossoff tells the crowd a Republican victory here would
mean one less check on the Trump administration.
You've seen us lied into war.
You've seen these tariffs crushing families
and small businesses and farmers.
You've seen these devastating health care cuts.
Meanwhile, Collins accused Ossoff
of having ulterior motives and ambitions.
John Ossoff is the leader of the Democrat Socialist
of America movement wing of the
Democrat Party.
He is running for president.
We've got to stop this mess right here in Georgia.
Collins also made stops at GOP offices in Columbia County
and Savannah and in Macon
this evening.
The Republican congressman has faced
an increasingly uphill battle in this race.
Senator Ossoff has held a commanding lead in recent polls.
He's also reporting roughly $26 million
in the bank for the third quarter.
Collins raised just over $1 million in that same period.
We have 29 hours still ahead of us.
To use our constitutional rights and take action
and change the course of history.
We're going to show the world
that this is not a blue state, not a purple state.
We are a red state.
And Senator Ossoff will hold an election night watch party in Atlanta.
We're still working to learn the final details on that one.
Now Collins will watch the returns come
in at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center.
At the live desk, Rob DiRienzo, Fox 5 News.
Yeah, all eyes are going to be on all of these races tomorrow, Rob.
Thanks.
