Day 15 of Bhatt trial focuses on forensic evidence inside home

Day 15 of the Naresh Bhatt murder trial in Prince William County. Testimony from the victim's brother and blood evidence the focus today as prosecutors prepare to wrap up their case. Fox 5's Tisha Lewis is in Manassas with the latest. Mamta Kapil Bhatt's brother did, in fact, take the stand, answering some preliminary questions, confirming that he met Naresh Bhatt before the couple married, also taking the stand a forensic expert, detailing her report and analysis, even in some instances defending her report and explaining the blood found in the Bhatt family home. The blood that's in this part of the carpet has to have come in the context of the scene, has to come from above. It correlates with what was... The pattern that was seen with the blue star on the top surface. So no visible blood on the carpet, but enhancement with looking at it with luminol. You can see this pattern that's directly above where you see the stain that's now on the underside of the carpet. That's forensic. Analyst and expert Iris Daly Graff on the stand describing the blood found in the Bhatt family home, saying her analysis and testimony would be the same regardless of who called her to testify. She's a witness for the prosecution. Fox 5 has learned the prosecution was planning initially to reportedly close their case today, but the case will continue. Graff continued. Graff testified how blood spreads and also absorbs through the carpet. She also explained bloodstain patterns in the family's bedroom and bathroom, but also acknowledged she did not analyze the scene in person. Naresh Bhatt is accused of killing his wife and dismembering her body. Her body has never been found. I think I'm deco-bunny at the moment.
