Riley Laychuk's weekend forecast: above seasonal
Oct 31, 2026
All right, welcome to the weekend
and a big weekend for trick-or-treaters
who are hoping to get some candy as we get through the evening hours.
So let's pull out.
Our Halloween mummy wouldn't be Halloween
if we didn't have that as we get into the evening hours
for trick-or-treating looking at temperatures staying very warm.
No parkas needed this year, not even the Tukkumits. I mean,
temperatures around 8, 9 degrees as we head into the supper hour.
Slightly cooler likely into parts of western Manitoba. That's
because some cloud cover will push northward as we get through the day.
There could be a couple of odd raindrops out of some of this.
Most of it stays on the western side of
Into Saskatchewan as we get through the afternoon hours.
A bit of precipitation does start
to push through as we get through Sunday.
There's a slim chance of showers in Winnipeg
as we get through the afternoon hours.
But attention will turn as we get into next week of seeing
a couple of showers pushing through as we get through Monday.
There's a bit more of an organized low that will push in from
the Dakotas, likely tapering off as we get into Tuesday morning.
So temperatures through the afternoon.
I mean, normal high for this time of the year would be around 4,
10 degrees in Winnipeg through the afternoon, 13 for Steinbach.
7 to 9 degrees through Westman and to Dauphin
and even into the high single digits,
7 degrees for the PA and OCN with lots
of sunshine through the afternoon hours.
Your long range looking like this will push things even further Sunday
with a southerly to southwesterly flow at 15 degrees,
12 for Monday with some showers pushing through
and temperatures cooling off back towards seasonal
as we get to the middle of next week.
