All right, let's take a look.
First of all, at your trick-or-treat forecast, which I think is
really good news for most of the area.
6 p.m. temperature 72. By 8 o'clock in the evening,
we're looking at 68 degrees. Sunsets at 637.
We'll be looking at mostly cloudy skies. I do
have a slight chance,
we're probably talking about a 20% chance of a few isolated showers
through 7 in the evening from roughly Greenville up through...
Fannin County, Paris, Lamar County,
Delta County, the Sulphur Springs area.
So northeast of the Metroplex, again, there still could
be a couple lingering showers into the very early evening.
Nothing at all like this.
This is Henderson, Nevada, outside of Las Vegas earlier this afternoon.
Flash flooding there.
Look at the overwash on the roadways.
You know, it doesn't take nearly as much rain
to trigger flash flooding in the desert southwest as it does here.
An inch of rain, really,
in a short period of time can create scenes like you're seeing there.
We've got some more rain in the forecast now.
Scattered showers tomorrow.
They'll be on the light side, though.
Heavier showers and thunderstorms will be more likely Monday night
into early Tuesday morning of next week.
So we're looking at, in general,
about a half inch to an inch of rainfall between now and Tuesday.
And we do need the rain. We got a little bit today, .05.
Most locations, the rain was very light as expected,
a tenth of an inch or less.
Our deficit now for 2026 stands at 4.73 inches.
Made it up to 75 today, 65 below, 73 and 52 the averages.
Currently, we're in the upper 60s to low 70s,
71 at this hour at Love Field.
Elsewhere, we've got mid-60s in Bowie and Bridgeport,
down to 61 at Stephenville,
still holding at 70 in Canton, and 69 at this hour in Paris.
There is a look at the radar,
and we've had these very spotty light showers moving northeastward.
You can see some of that light rain now heading up towards
the Sherman-Denison area, northeast of McKinney.
Those will continue gliding off to our north and east.
I think we'll see some sprinkles then overnight.
The bigger view doesn't look too impressive,
to be honest with you, across Texas at this hour.
There is a little bit of heavy rain down near
the Beaumont-Port Arthur area,
but much of this is very light rain.
Falling at this hour, 54 Chicago,
only 40 at Green Bay right now and 67 in L.A.
So here's future cast again.
Some more scattered showers
on the light side tomorrow morning to about midday.
And then that will quickly move off
to our northeast during the afternoon hour so that
most of us will be looking at a dry Saturday evening forecast
and then considerable clouds
on Sunday with a high of 80 degrees.
We will see another weather system moving in here.
Showers and thunderstorms Monday night.
That's very early election morning, Tuesday of next week, 8 a.m.
I wouldn't worry too much about that because
this is going to move out very quickly
so that the entire afternoon and evening should be dry.
Here's your seven-day forecast,
Halloween weekend, 73 tomorrow, 80 on Sunday.
83 is our warm day on Monday.
Showers and storms Monday night should exit quickly Tuesday morning.
74 Wednesday and just a slight chance of a passing shower Thursday.
