Windsorites weigh in on time changes
Oct 31, 2026
Several provinces are ending time changes for good.
Some are sticking with the old method, spring ahead, fall behind.
But it's more confusing than that.
Some provinces have a split system, like Ontario.
And guess what? This could all change again next year.
Long story short, however, here in Windsor,
we're setting clocks back an hour this Sunday morning.
But we want to hear what some of you think about
this Canada-wide clock confusion.
Yeah, I don't like when it gets dark early, so I do prefer not have it.
It is nice to get an extra hour of sleep,
but then you miss an hour a few months later, so straight off.
Definitely, they should have done it a long time ago.
I wish they would just come off the whole thing
and just have it all one,
but I guess it's because of the time change
for the different provinces.
Anyway.
Well, I don't love the changing of the times,
but I have to admit, like, I'm looking forward
to the mornings being light again for a little while.
And I really hate waking up in the dark.
So, yeah, pick one and stick to it and get used to it.
But we're kind of designed
to be on standard time, not on daylight time.
Um...
A little unnerving at times, but my cat,
it's been much easier on my cat.
I'm not looking forward to getting up in the dark
and having the mornings be really dark.
You know, there's things to be said for both,
and I lived in the north where the mornings were dark anyway,
so, you know, it is what it is.
