Another step toward completion of the new Fancsy Family Hospital

Two bidders are now competing to build the diagnostic and treatment block for Windsor's future hospital, the Fancy Family Hospital project near the airport. We received two world-class submissions led by Ellis Don, partnered with Parkin Architects, and then Plenary Group, partnered with B Plus H Architects, Ameco, Cesir, and Johnson Controls. So we're extremely happy that our procurement strategy worked on the project. We have two world-class teams at the table, and now the fun really begins. We're going to start a design competition to see... Who wins and who gets the honour of designing and building, financing and maintaining our hospital. This is the second and largest phase of construction. It will include the emergency department as well as the trauma and cancer centres and more. The two bidders were selected after a process that began earlier this year. The winner will be announced in late 2027, according to officials. Shovels won't be in the ground on phase two until after that. Construction on phase one, that began in July and includes a parking garage and administration building.
